Second my dr recently postponed a hip replacement surgery by one week. This coming Tuesday. The reason was my liver values were high and I told him it was from test at the pre-op meeting. He wanted to wait til after the first of the year to reschedule. I told him with great apparent concern I can't, I can't afford a new more expensive deductible as I had to take a loan for extensive implant work in my mouth. He said ok meet me half way, let's do next week after asking when my last injection was. I only use 800mg weekly. I had stopped my regular schedule a week out before the meeting in case they wanted liver values checked again even though my primary said he was comfortable signing off. My ortho surgeon was concerned with blood clots. Said he would go with stronger blood thinners. Now he said he was confident thete shouldn't be an issue it sounded like a 99% sure answer. I recieced a reminder text stating my surgery is scheduled for 12/30. Have any of you had similar situations and do you think I may have any issues last minute? Frankly, I'd consult with your surgeon and the medical experts you're working with, rather than strangers on a bodybuilding forum. Anesthesia, major surgery, blood clots, etc. A bit above our pay grade. Unless we have a resident orthopedic surgeon here on PM, of course.

I always stop any real anabolic use way out in advance to not have any last minute issus. So my body is in a good place for the surgury.

Unfortunately I didn't stop far enough out. Was only using test

Just go with what your surgeon’s suggestion. In the future you really should drop down to TRT if you know a surgery is imminent.

Why are your liver values skewed? I’ve never seen 800mg/test do that for a healthy individual. Have your liver enzymes been elevated in the past?

I’m confused and might be reading this wrong but your solution to high liver values before surgery is to avoid an injection a week before? I’m curious as to why your liver is so stressed. Are you not taking any liver protection ie NAC, Liv52, tudca, etc.? I don’t see how avoiding one shot before your surgery is going to dramatically help your liver, considering, if I had to guess, the test you’re using has a long ester.

My brother had last minute surgery on knee replacement and was on trt. He advised them and they continued without issues. Not saying do or dont just experience i know of

Oh his were within normal range. That was something they checked first. I cant remember the exact value

I’m not understanding why test levels would effect the liver? If you were planning on surgery why did you not drop to trt prior in preparation.

kidney function and elevated hemoglobin A1c are reasons they cancel surgery along with other marker but You said you were cleared for surgery by a doc who looked over you blood values.

People get replacement surgery all the time on trt. Not really sure what your truely asking I guess or what youre worried about.

Hip surgery. In need of extensive dental care. Elevated liver numbers and unable to afford liver care supplement.

Not trying to be an asshole but 800 mg of test a week is a cycle, not aggressive TRT. With everything above I don’t think your timing is right to be on a cycle. Maybe cruise until you reach a point where you can focus on training.

I even called and said I can have a few Dr's sign that it is medically necessary. I have gum disease unfortunately. Their response was basically to go fuck myself. I had my work done in Mexico. 17k as compared to tje neighborhood of 50k numerous extractions.
