messing up your shoulder just from getting the weight up for dumbell inclines

just started doing more inclines latley getting the weight up my self with the rock and knee push up, so my hypothesis is just the angle of pushing up heavy weight coming from the knees to over head is stressin my shoulder and not the actaul incline lift itself, is this what it prob is? i only prefer dumbells and im not about to ask 2 guys to hand em too me every time. any of yall experince this and just stoped doin em, im thinking ill have to just go back to flat, but i was destined to try to bring up some upper chest and im agaist the straight bar.
 
i have a labrum tear i wont do them im afraid that jerking them up will tear it more the actual motion is safe but i have the same fear as you but i still do heavy incline dumbell press with no probelms im probably just paranoid
 
use a smith machine. I have a shoulder problem and this helped me keep working out while i healed.. my friend had both shoulders operated on and he is now cured.

yo smiths are way worse bro
 
when i used to do them i would get the left in place by myself with both hands and have somebody hand me the right one ( my bad shoulder side). nobody ever complained and were happy to help.
