Hey I just wanted to post this as I found the experience interesting.
Im getting old, I guess. LOL
Well, for about 6 months, Ive been getting really tired after meals with carbs ...almost any amount. My BF is not high, but regardless, with around 250 grams of carbs per day, I hold a load of water. I tried several things, electorlytes for the water balance, Fish oil, ALA, to stabilize my blood sugar after a meal.
So I researched Metformin and got a few. Last night around 6pm I took some with a pretty carby meal. All complex as usual and of course ample protein. I didnt get tired due to the carbs, this was surprising, and went to bed about 11...
Bad news: WORST nights sleep EVER! hahaha. Got up to pee like 4 times and woke up exhausted.
Good news: I seemed to have sucked up/lost all the water. Muscles were full and hard, vascularity was good. I went to the gym and even though I was exhausted, I had a PR with Incline Dumbells. I felt like total shit and didnt see that coming.
So, some good, some bad there FWIW. I gotta try it with Lunch and skip the dinner dose. But I like not slipping into a coma after I eat In any case, it works.
