Milos calls BS on 30 grams of protein max absorption per meal (video)

I never bought the 30 grams at a time myth, but I do think absorption is individual and dependent on the source of protein and digestion. AAS makes it a different ball game too.

I lowered my protein back to a gram per pound. I get a little bit more than then that, but I'm no longer aiming for 1.5-2 grams like before. I also reduced my whey isolate intake from 6 scoops a day to 4. That was a nice improvement. Progress seems to be the same or slightly better because my body doesn't have to use so many resources to digest the higher protein as a result of TEF.

I've wanted to try beef protein isolate, but some reviews have been it will give you the shits and it tastes weird.

Maybe but if you're like me I literally have auto immune reaction to whey. I can drink any whey and if I stay on it more than a week I've actually excreted pieces of my intestines. Like slime..... So with that I go egg and beef better than nothing. I still try to get most of my protein from whole foods of course.

Your body will absorb the caloric requirements at that time. You could split your protein into 8 small meals or 1 large one, it doesnt make much if any difference. Your body will utilise what it needs.

I am dairy intolerant and also allergic or intolerant to whey protein in any form.

I can use 1-2 shakes per day of organic vegan protein and thats it.

I saw studies 20 years ago out of the Soviet union that stated some of their olympic lifters need over 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight to stay in positive nitrogen balance. That can be quite a bit of protein that needs to be absorbed over several meals to acquire all that the athlete needs.

This was laughed about on misc.fitness.weights a lot back in the 90s frequently, over 20 years ago, everyone knows that 30g broscience myth, it's pretty much THE original broscience fact, other than muscle turning into fat.

This just comes back to the surface because George Farah claimed that only 30g of protein can be absorbed per meal and everyone went crazy ofc

You are misconstruing what ABSORB.means.

had 75g whey isolate for breakfast

oops

:D
