Milos Responds To George Farah's Anti Insulin Comments

I am not suggesting to anyone to use insulin, however the insulin use it has been around before Milos even was in bodybuilding. It was used by Eastern Block athletes for faster recovery between workout, under MDs guidance. And the dozes was not 4, 5 or 10 IU, only 1.5 to 2 IU.

1.5 to 2 units a day? What time of the day? Post-workout?
 
The same people that preach insulin as a weight gain hormone think cortisol does the same. Neither are true, hormones don't work in a vacuum and they dont break the laws of thermodynamics
 
I know that Balco guy was giving it to track athletes to help recover from intense training sessions. He didn’t state in the interview how much he was giving them but I’ve yet to see a track athlete with a ruined physique.

Some hear anabolic and inadvertently think building muscle because of the association with anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS).

The primary hormonal driver for muscle growth is testosterone not insulin. That's why on average, adult men have significantly more muscle mass than adult women. Even though women actually have higher insulin sensitivity when individuals are controlled for fitness.

This is abundantly apparent observing developmental athletes hitting puberty.

Milos has said that if he had a bb on just one drug it would be insulin, it beats steroids. That's like saying if one identical twin is on insulin and the other on steroids, the insulin twin would be better and put on more muscle. I say no way, not even close :D
But the guy has tons of experience. Though I doubt he's seen tons of guys on just insulin.
 
I'll never touch insulin, period. Even if I knew 100% the proper protocol. I have a friend who nearly died because he took too much of that shit.

Don't blame the drug for the users actions...
Plenty of people use it daily without issues, diabetic or not. Education of the drug is key to success. Improper usage can cause issues, as with most drugs or most things in general.

It's fine you're not comfortable, but don't demonize it because your friend used it improperly.

On the old dat b true boards MANY MANY guys were using small doses 2-3iu insulin post workout and eating carbless or trace carbs for 8-24 hours after the session

Recovery was dramatic compared to a low/no carb approach without insulin
