Has anyone ever used those mini-trampolines for cardio? Seems to me it would be ideal for those among us whose knees are spent from years of training. I would appreciate any feedback on these and results you have experienced.

It seems to me the physics of it would be worse on your knee due to the unstable nature of the force hitting your knee different everytime, ever try a eliptical?

never heard of it but it would be a bit distracting seeing the cuties at my gym jumping up & down but something i would always have to stop and look at

I imagine it to be unstable as well.

there is no jaring it would be a consistant force right?

rebound

The idea is to not jump up and down like a regular trampoline but to have your feet not leave the fabric as you push down and let it rebound you back to the starting position . I saw one on tv and I liked the way it seemed to be easy on the knees. Might be worth a try.

sorry i got to say this but trampolines are GAY!!! i wouldnt be caught dead on one doing cardio. stick to the treadmill.

Oh my...30 minutes going up and down (as with many pull-striders) would create a major headache. Not to mention most trampolines wouldn't hold a 250 pounder.
The only positive i see would be if you hold the postworkout shake and when you're done it's ready to drink :)

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!

Trampoline for cardio LOLOLOLOL omg im sorry im just picturing this big bodybuilder jumpin on a trampoline in his living room as cardio all out of breathe hahahahahaahah :D

My grandmom has one, she said you can come over and try it if you like.

Drank a Quart of beer when I was a teenager, then went jumping on the trampoline ...almost drown......the beer foamed up in my stomach and started coming out my nose........

LOL ,not to mention you have to be concentrated the whole time because if you step out of centre just once you'll end up all over the place ! Better have deaf neighbours too !

I say....

keep it simple but find something u can, and like to do, if it helps u reach ur goal F what others think. Just hard to measure the amount of kcals burned and the track intensity

Gooey,
Thank you for your positive comments regarding my question about those new mini-trampolines that are coming onto the market. I don't mind some off the wall humorous comments but some of the others were outright derogatory and childish. Somewhat surprizes me considering the caliber of this board but I appreciate your comments as well as a few others. I didn't think the content of my inquirey was that outrageous and didn't expect to be ridiculed by members half my age with obviously twice my intelligence.

A friend of mine had awesome legs. He rolled both of his quads up to his hip when the came disconnected from his knee on a trampoline. I mean they actually rolled into a ball to the top part of his leg, for real. From then on, I never went on one...
