Minor setback

it will look the worst about 1 week after.....then start turning green....
then yellow....

its more than likely still bleeding out alittle....

looks like no more barbell bench huh...???

although ive never seen or heard of ANYONE tearing a pec
on incline.....might be your only option after you heal

and this is NO SHIT....after I posted that....I went to train....smith inclines..

3rd set....295, about 5th rep (looking for 10 to 12) heard CRUNCH...very
minor....but it def. happen....I should have never posted that shit....

creters is unfortunately a MAJOR tear....
 
damn brother that sucks , hopefully its just some minor fiber tearing and nothing detached.

That is terrible timing Concreter. It is one of my fears. Tenny was right about the color change. I recently tore the ligaments off my shoulder with tear of the tendon and when it finally turned from dark to yellow it was all down my shoulder, pect and upper back. It looked like I was in liver failure! Blood blob still showed up on MRI has not dispersed and it has been six weeks.

I former pro "rassler" friend was in my office last week chatting and he lifted his shirt off in my office (isn't that what men do?) to show me his new pec tear that he did with ...... 50 lbs total on incline machine. He never lifts heavy anymore and does 15 rep sets, and still tore his muscle warming up. it also looked yellow like liver failure. He is my age (55). This stuff is hard to figure out sometimes when you get older.

I mean , geez, how careful can you be?

I knew one day I would just have to be happy at 250lbs 6%.
it is hard to just cruise along without pushing for more.
it can so easy to maintain my muscle w- less nutition, training and supps that it takes the drive away that got us here in the 1st place.
stimulate don't annihilate is my new motto.lol

sucks, just when I was at my best ever I have to regress back to being just better than normal...

Dammit, made me cringe. Looks so painful.. I never want to have to deal with that. Here's to a speedy recovery sir!
 
really it never hurt..
the only pain I have is from the swelling and loss of range of motion.
mri tomorrow
 
After you get better, you might want to do like John Meadows recommends and make bench press your third or fourth chest exercise. You will not be able to move the big weights, but you will be fully warmed up for sure. After a few pec strains, this is the way I'm doing it now and knock on wood, no issues. Good luck.

I felt the same exact sensation doing smith incline. Was fine after a few days but..


Needless to say, I stopped doing barbell after that
 
You know what I heard helps pec tears heal more quickly? HGH, Pop-tarts, and beer.:D Listen to your doc and give that plenty of time to heal concreter. Give it some time....and you will be alright......
 
Sorry to see this. Looks like you will have to start bench pressing with the pink db's like Rambo.

In all seriousness you will be fine for your cut you just have to let it heal and not go back too soon and you will still look fantastic during the summer.
I use the pink smith machine now ahole ;)

Everyone who posts in this thread shall be cursed and will suffer a muscle tear injury within 2 months. The only way to break the concreter curse is to fuck a kleenex box on a full moon.

2 of my best friends had similar tears last yr and a buddy at the gym has done nothing but talk about his friends full rupture for the last mnth'''

I will need to be a little better on my diet..only 1 pop-tart.
with 3 ius gh, 3x day and lr3 at 40 mcgs daily plus 500 test 200 tren and 600 primo I am hoping to retain my muscle and remain lean.

it's been 4 days today and I cant wait to start using those pink d-bells...
