mixing whey with coffe?

I have been mixing my whey with hot coffee, and then putting ice in it to make a chocolate iced moca. will the hot coffee mess up the protein?

I very highly doubt it. I used to do it all the time, the taste is great!

Awesome pre workout to get going in the gym too.

sometimes if its super hot the protein will curl up.... but if its not SUPER hot its fine and taste

Why with hot coffee? Just let it cool down if its espresso but ifts instant coffee you can mix it cold.

Yea exactly, sounds like a lot of effort.

I mix my Synthepure with instant coffee and stir in water.

Use instant coffee. Hot coffee will make the whey curdle up and taste like shit.

As far as "cooking and destroying whey" Ive read you can denature the whey at approx 180*F. But for mixing coffee I would go with Instant coffee. You dont have to water it down and a tablespoon or two mixed with your shake will make it taste really good.

When not using jack3d, i mix a scoop of whey with some instant coffe for a pre workout boost. Taste is amazing.

This morning for my usual cup of joe i actually used some vanilla protein as my creamer. I know it really didnt add much protein to it but it did give it a nice french vanilla flavor.:headbang:

I've actually have been adding coffee ( instant ) to my vinilla whey protein shakes for about a year . I've been using Starbucks VIA Italian roast. It's a great pick me up in the morning before I go to work. I've just recently got Taster's Coice in the individual packets . It takes a little longer to disolve but they're pretty good.

I do this often with Synthepure. One of my favorite morning drinks. It wont hurt the protein at all.

No whey- I usually buy a coffee flavored protien powder or even get a frozed coffe at dunkins like a coolata add esspresso then go home blend in my whey isolate
