Ultimate Figher 4 starts taping next week. This one is called "THE COMEBACK" They are bring old fighters from the UFC and giving them another shot. They will train and compete for a shot a the title. It will not be a team competion as before. There are no Coaches - this time Advisors - Couture and GSP. Here's the line up:

STRIKEFORCE - another new org. Last month they held the first NHB fight in California Frank Shamrock v Cesar Gracie (Shamrock KO'd him in 20 seconds) On 9 June they have another card.

-Vitor Belfort v. Alistair Overeem (originally it was vs Kevin Randleman, but he got hurt. Overeem beat Belfort about a year ago in Pride so this should be a good fight)

IFL - This org is owned by a few guys who left Zuffa/UFC. They are trying to do a team vs. team format events. Much like a wrestling dual meet or an amauter boxing meet USA V. ?? ect. They have a Hall of Fame line up when it comes to Coaches

That Next Ufc Looks WEAK. I doubt Ill even order that one.
They need to get some better fights Lined up. This one or two good fights
with a bunch of Fillers Is Not enough Imo...
I want to see Bj Penn, Matt Hughes, GSP. Franklin ,Liddel ,Ortiz, Belfort
Babalu etc etc... In the Same Night or against eachother! Last Few Ive rented Ive been pretty disapointed.

Hopefully they can do Better in August and Ill get that one.

I wondered where Rico Rodriguez had been. He was a Tough Sumbitch!
The clips you sent me a while back I seen he beat Both Randy Couture
And Andre Arlovski.

Go to the WFA website there's pics of him. HE's a big FAT sloppy looking bald guy. When I mean fat I mean 300+ with man boobs. That guy waterman just beat him a few months back and Ricco was so fat he fought with a T-Shirt on!!! He was in Tito's corner for the Forrest fight and looked better. He's been working Billy Rush who is Militech's nutrion and strength guy so hopefully he'll be better this time around. That guy was AWESOME when he was young. He WON the Abu Dahbi submission wrestling in 01 I think. He beat the best BJJ and grapplers in the world that years. He won the UFC and got a bullshit decision agains't Pride's World Champ (he won that fight)....he was on top of his game then, but now he looks worse than some of the Lee Priest off season pics.

BJ Penn is rumored to be fighting in August on the Liddell Card.

He didnt realy look like much then But damn when I seen him Beat Randy Couture like that I was Impressed by the guy.
I guess I watched regular from the 1-15 or so and then Missed most all of the
15-35 Ufcs when you didnt see or here much aboit it anymore.
Did they move to china or Just go underground during some of that time?
Seems like it was still going on But I never seen or heard much about it during
those few years.

I think Mir is done for, did you see his last fight? Im suprised he is comimng back for more But Im not even sure who this guy is he is fighting. Hopefully for him someone Not as good as the last guy.

Im sure theyll be good fights and hell I say that now but when the time comes around Ill have to get em Just to see Titio beat up on Shamrock
and Arlovski Sylvia alone May be worth the Money.... But Damn For 40$
I want to see the Suerstars! The Big boys fighting. Not Just one or two But a card full of them with less Of the No-name guys.

Raj - can't remember all the details but there was either different owners or president during that time. When Zuffa or Dana took over is when the boom hit.

If you want to see some awesome fights check out the second round of Pride's Open Weight Grand Prix. Those are all awesome top caliber fighters fighting. Id say of the 8 listed 4 without question would be ANYONE in UFC and the other 4 are all as good as anyone in the UFC. The first round was great, not one fight went to the cards. Much better fights then seeing jack ass Mir or Monson. Either one of those guys would like middle school kids fighting CroCop, Nog, Hunt, Wanderlie, etc.

So much good stuff comming up, i have seen every UFC since ufc 1, and I will keep getting them probably. I think they have a decent line up for ufc 61, but im not too excited for silva arlowski rematch. That ultimate fight night looks pretty good also, i tried to find it to tivo it but I think its still too far away. it's a shame all those other fight org's don't have Events on TV, besides pride atleast. I have heard that UFC is going to have a lot of competition by 2008. Now that its going mainstream people want to get their money in.

I think its funny Nick Diaz is going to be on the "comeback" ultimate fighter. He is so young and just started with the UFC. Just because he last the last 3 out of his 4 fights doesn't mean he needs a come back. It just shows that the kid isn't as good as they thought he was. I hate him, I think hes a punk.
