Monkey feet, worthwhile or waste of $$$

Has anyone tried the monkey foot? They're not cheap but not terribly expensive. Don't have a lot of room at the home gym and thought this could be a worthy addition to supplement leg development.
What do you guys think?

Reminds me of the old "Iron Boots" which never really caught-on.
But if a person puts 'em to good use, I guess its worth it for them...

I bought a pair. Really good for at home stuff like standing one legged leg curls and for hip flexors. I got them for my knee surgery rehab and add them in for isolation every so often. You can definitely create a similar effect by hooking a band around your ankles or even put a dumbbell between your legs lying down. I’d say this is more for stability and conditioning than mass. I use a 30 lb dumbbell which is more than enough and if you offset the back leg to encourage tension throughout, it’s a decent movement. Expensive though and I imagine most will tell you to save your money.

I want to buy a set too as I use ankle weight and sometimes desire more resistance along with the ease of doing lying leg curls without having to grip a dumbbell with my feet. What prohibits me is they are expensive compared to what I thought they should be worth.

They’re useful in a home gym setup, or a gym seriously lacking machines/cables. They’re better than trying to use bands to mimic leg curls and knee raisrs, but they’re kind of expensive/unnecessary in a commercial gym setting.

Decent. Not a gamechanger. I'm someone who prefers a dedicated Seated Leg Curl and also like a Standing or Kneeling Leg Curl machine. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the Monkey Feet don't even come close to a good Standing Leg Curl machine. However, they're better than nothing. When I'm training at home, which is often, it's pretty much GHDs and Standing Leg Curl with the Monkey Feet for Ham moves. Again, not my first choice but better than nothing.
