Guys... HOW do you squat without your lower back killing you? I squat with great form, but it feels like it compresses the shit out of my lower spine. Its NOT the muscles that hurt, its the actual spine. I can go heavy squats and deads for like 2 weeks before my spine feels like hell and it wont go away for weeks! Got up to 500 for 5-6 deep reps... then all of a sudden im excited to try n beat it week after week... and then there goes my lower back! FUCK

Weird Toop... I never have had this feeling. Now I have strained the muscles in my lower back going to heavy without a belt but no pain in my spine.

Thank you fellas for the fine compliments. They are not perfect but who is? That is as heavy as I am going to go for awhile. Now i am going to opt to work on control and more reps.

lol how long you been doing this and how much weight ya use? Iv been using over 400lbs in squats and deads for 3yrs now. Might not sound like alot, but i also have the tendency to push hard with high volume at the end when certain muscle groups are worn out...that could also be the culprit. Dont do stiff legs after 500lb sets of squats lol.... or deadlift at the END of a workout after hitting tbars at the beginning and crushing your entire back throughout the workout... eh ya life and ya learn

Fuck that!! They were as good a 700lb squat as any I have seen outside of Powerlifting comps! Shit JL i was waiting for you to throw the bar up overhead and rack it.....HAHAHAHA! That is some sic shit bro! Awesome work. My legs are aching from watching that.

Hey TP how far apart are your back and leg w/outs? Do you do good mornings?? Try doing 3 sets of 15 rep hyper-extensions before you squat. Your problem sounds like weak erectors. space your back and leg training at opposite ends of the week. You may also be overtraining your lower back with too many exercises that hit that area.
