I would consider myself a advanced beginner bodybuilder. I've placed well in a few county and state shows but still far from most of you guys.
Here is my question. I recently started working with a trainer/nutritionist. For the most part my diet, cardio and training are adequate for the level I want to take this sport. But he recently told me that I am wasting my time doing morning cardio because I am not truly fasted.
I wake up around 6:30-7:00am, I make my morning low carb wrap and eat it while I am doing my 30 minutes of morning cardio. I've been doing this for years. I didn't think my body would process the food within the 20-30 minutes I am doing cardio.
Does the body absorb the nutrients that quickly? Realistically, I am eating on my breakfast wrap for the first 5 minutes of my morning cardio.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thank you
