i remember from an interview that he would only train about half the year. if i recall, he was into bowling and when competitions ended he'd stay out of the gym completely for a few months. I know this was not unheard of for a lot of the 70's guys. Also if i recall, he didn't go with a very high protein diet.

He train 3 way split

Chest-back
Shoulders-arms
Legs

2-3 excersizes , 5 sets x 12 reps same weight offseason , training 3-4 times a week

4-5 excersizes , 5 sets x 12 reps precontest , training 6 times a week one time a day

4-5 weeks out train 6 times a week 2 times a day , each mucsle 3 x a week

All sets same weight , when can do 5x12 increase weight , small rest between sets , do as much work in as little time as possible

Deca and dboll for aas

One time he prepped on 80 g protein

I love danny

I think the best three bodybuilders ever are Ronnie, Dorian, and Lee Haney. If i had to pick one best i'd probably have to go with Ronnie as the most muscularly developed human body in history. However, i think Haney had the greatest body in history. Out of every O, i'd want to look like Haney more than any of the others and I think Haney represents the pinnacle and spirit of what the sport was SUPPOSED to be about. His physique met most of the criteria and ideals of bodybuilding until it went towards a much more severe direction but he had it all (small waist, big upper body for that time and no weak body parts). I wouldn't call his legs weak but i would say that on his body they were the least impressive compared to the rest of him.
Hard to argue otherwise!!

Just to throw out some more recent competitors first one that comes to mind is Terrence Ruffin... He continues to improve his weaknesses and will be amazing once he's completely filled out. And his posing... Incredible!

I also think Phil Heath is worthy of mention too - he is massive, but still retained nice flow.
