I like the way Phil looks aesthetically and he gained a lot of muscle from last year so that's why I would have him over Jay and Branch.

Now if you just going for globs of muscle that is shredded that doesn't flow nicely Branch would be in first. I like Branch too for that, but Phil is just more appealing.

I would love to see Branch win because he represents the hard work and not so stellar structure and body parts the majority of us are blessed with...however I am going to go with Phil, Jay, Branch, Dexter, and either Kai or Wolf.

I think this is the closest O in a while, because each of the top 3 look good and have something special and different. I like Phil's look a lot, and no doubt he has the most pleasing physique to look at, but Branch and Jay are MUCH bigger, and in the case of Branch his conditioning is off the chart.

I don't think any of the three would be a bad choice.

How? Did you the watch the pre-judging? He wasn't even compared to anyone in the top 6. I like DJ as he was one of the first guys I saw that made me want to start bodybuilding, but come on guys at least pay attention to the sport. Based on what I saw last night here is your Top 6....

1./2. Jay or Phil. That's a hard one to call. Jay didn't look quite as good as he did last year but almost. From the back he may not have been as crisp and dense as phil in the torso. Both had great conditioning in the lower half but the width issue comes into play on some shots against Phil. I do think that Phil added enough muscle (he was big and full to boot) to where he doesn't look small standing next to Jay. I'd like to see Phil take it but it's really close.

3. Branch Warren might end up 3rd. He's hard and dense and got better through the PJing last night but structurally it's hard for him to compete against the top two guys. Not for nothing, he gets a TON of mileage out of his physique.

4. Dexter Jackson. Full and hard as nails. His legs look a little bigger this year too. It's amazing he can hang with guys that weigh 20-35lbs more than he does and not look out of place.

5./6. Ronny R/Dennis Wolf. Tough call on these guys too. I'd hate to be a judge last night as there were many guys that were very hard to judge. The top 6 will be difficult and it will be interesting to see the score sheets at the end of all of this as I'm sure it will be close. Dennis improved and looked like he did when he snagged 5th place in 2007. In my opinion at least. People harp on his lower back but Ronny's back isn't his strong point either. RR's physique from the front is super round and hard looking. Wolf might grab 5th on the simple fact that hes bigger than RR. I guess tonight will tell the tale.

Kai might be somewhere around 7th but they did stick him in a call out with a couple of the top 6 so who knows.

That's my take.

A closer look, yep, I stand by my prejudging picks

Again, anything could happen in 18-24 houirs, we'll see tonight

1. Phil (even glutes were shredded, he is taking the sport to another level)

2. Jay (1 or two, he looked amazing, I am just a bigger fan of the round
muscle bellies of Phil, as I was back in the day with Flex Wheeler over Dorian, it's just a personal preference)

3. Dexter (perfect, I don't see how he can improve, he's freaking flawless, Just doesn't have that "WOW" factor that Heath brings.

4. Branch (looked great, but not like 2009 in my opinion)

Freaking AWESOME! This is what 2010 is about! They all brought their "A" games. The difference between this year and years past in my opinion is the consistancy with the athletes (Yes, Athletes!) all showing up with glutes and Hammies that are jaw dropping.

I wont post them all, we all know where to find the pics. I just thought these being accessable in the middle of this thread might offer some reminders and clarity as we all discuss the event. I don't know about you guys, but I am really stoked for this evening's night show and results! Damn, I think that is one of the ways that you can tell you are a BB Meathead on that top 10 list posted a while back. What? There's a UFC PPV tonight? Huh?

INSANE competition this year. This is what a Mr. Oympia competition should look like. I really think Jays huge obliques are displeasing to the eye (as mine are :banghead. Also, Phil's chest definitely needs some width to it. Jay definitely has him in that department.

Jay is in good shape obviously, but he has in my opinion, the widest, ugliest midsection/abs in the show. It almost looks like he had surgery on his abs.
