muscle cramps / spasms

been having frequent muscle cramps and spasms recently.. and I have no idea what is causing them.


my front delts spasm whenever I bring my arms down to my sides after they've been resting on something (e.g. a table).


my quads cramp up every leg workout.. and it blows.


biceps starting to spasm every so often



currently using test/tren and an oral blend of anadrol/tbol/winstrol


also using lisinopril (30mg a day) and metformin (1700-2550mg per day)


been doing a low volume/high frequency training program


any insight would be really helpful.. no other symptoms
 
You could look into micronutrient testing and see where your mineral levels are at.
 
yeah I was wondering if it was related to magnesium or potassium, as my sodium intake is definitely sufficient.



I've started taking my fulvic/humic acid supplements again to see if that corrects the issue.





but the spasms are what im really curious about.. whenever it happens in my front delts, it's like a 'wave' starts on one side, moves to the other, and then moves back... weird as fuck
 
It's probably an electrolyte issue. If you aren't already I would add in a banana, avocado and dark leafy greens every day. They are all rich in potassium and magnesium. Coconut water is great around training too. Or you can just supplement them in but I prefer getting them from food. For taurine I would just supplement that as it's easier to get the required amounts. Then lots of sodium and water and you should be gtg. I have gone through times were I had bad ones... they can hurt. I am trying to think which was worst... quads are really bad :eek:

Are you taking any pump products? Pre workouts? I can find they can worsen things. I notice you do low volume and it's more a high volume problem but they could still be a factor.
 
I would experience horrid muscle cramps nightly...

When urinating frequently on a low carb diet. I also sweat profusely.
Hamstrings, feet, and the worst was the sartorius muscle...the one that runs from your crotch down to the inside of your knee...wow!
If I take taurine and magnesium right before bed...no cramps.
 
Got the same issue due to Metformin a while ago :)

It took me weeks to find out the issue, i bet it's not an electrolyte imbalance but an iron deficiency. Check your ferritin levels.

I don't exactly know how, but 1500mg of Metformin ED has tanked my Iron levels VERY low.
