Bilateral quad tendon tear 5 months ago.

Quads shrunk from 29 inches at thickest point to 25 over 10 weeks post injury.

I'm now squatting 100kg x 12 and they are now 28 inches again, albeit some muscle loss near the knee...

So I'm thinking... Could someone regain old muscle with lighter weights, say I get to 120-130kg and do higher reps? I'm not talking about building new muscle, just regaining what I had before the injury.

I've regained my upper mass after three months off in no time with higher reps and less weight but not sure what you guys though t

You're squatting 100 kgs 5 months after a BL quad rupture?

Holy hell, good for you man. Be safe, and yes you can definitely rebuild muscle tissue using a higher rep range and lighter loads.

This is a career ending injury for guys, so take it easy coming up in size and strength

cheers. Yeah I'm using dumbbells now instead.

Was doing 75kg and got up to 23 reps last week so jumped to 100kg for now.

Will go to 110-120 in a couple weeks but tbh I have no intention of going crazy heavy again. So the plan is lighter weights...

I've been doing two hours a day rehab till week 14 and now just weights twice a week.
