Muscletech brings in a few hundred million per year. They obviously are making money off the these guys that they sign. They can easily afford a few hundred thousand to sign some guys. It's play money to them. They do not rely on making money from guys like us. Actually if they did, they would go broke since we are very few in numbers. Most of the guys who buy from them are only buying their stuff a few times and move on, but a new costumer is just around the corner.

If you sign guys to a contract for big $, advertise that they take these products to make such incredible changes, where are the changes???? I have seen almost everyone of them look worse/place worse year after year. Someone please prove me wrong here.

No one can prove you wrong, but does it really matter? They will continue to sign the next top guy when he comes along simply because they can afford to and this "guy" can not afford to say no. I spent most of my time at the AC with King at the Muscletech booth and I met the guy owns the company. I am be resonably sure that this guy has never touched a weight in his life but I would bet he lives a very posh lifestyle. If you really want to make $ at selling supps then you have to stop relying on selling to hardcore guys because there are very few. ( I don't mean you speciafically just in general). Muscletech makes money by selling to the new crop of kids that spring up every year. There are thousands of these kids out there who want to become the next pro and they have money or at least their parents do.

I like how these bigtime companies say sceintifically proven....just so happens those scientists are paid by that company...the test results are done in a lab that the company provided. everyone is on the companies payroll

Reminds me of a guy who used to be a member of this board a few years ago. He used to compete and had just broke onto the National level and did quite well his first year. Supplement company X approached him and signed him to a 1 year contract for like $5K/yr and free supps. They had a new product coming out. They had him give them a pic from three years prior for his before pic and used his current pic for his after pic. They wrote up his testimony article for him and put it in the mags talking about the dramatic changes he made using X product in like 8 weeks. It was pretty funny. This guy now no longer lifts weights.

Muscletech products are no better or worse than most other major brands. The only real difference is in their marketing.
Muscletech protein is just protein. Muscletech creatine is just creatine. But their advertising hype is second to none.

But to address the question:
No, I dont think Muscletech products would ruin a competitor's physique... my guess is, if competitor X fails to continue to place well after he signs on with Muscletech... it's probably for some other reason (maybe getting lazy with all the sponsor cash and free supplements. Maybe they spend less time in the gym because of all the mandatory public appearances). Once you are Muscletech's bitch, you work for them, not for yourself.

I have been in the game for a week or two. I stick to the basics. I am the wolrd's biggest skeptic. Seen a ton of the latest and greatest come and go. Seen guys come in and swear this is the shit that is gonna make them big and bad. This is across the board, not just MT. I kept on saying that when you get results I'll be interested..............................Still waiting..............................................still waiting. My point is this. Take a good solid multivitamin, eat a good solid diet, choose a good quality protein. Go to the gym and train smart and hard. Get some professional advice from someone that really looks the goods and you will make great progress. The market place is full of Hype and they use smoke and mirrors to sell these products to the naieve. it is about money to them. These top level athletes say what they are paid to say. The truth hurts but it is still the truth.
