Music Preference Shift // Playlist Share

Good morning.

Am I the only one who has a dramatic shift in music preference on blast vs cruise. My taste changes dramatically from hiphop/edm to death metal in a matter of days when I blast off.

Think this would be a cool opportunity to share spotify playlists (because mine absolutely suck and I find myself skipping a lot).
completely agree! I go through phases in the gym, I'll go from hard core, to rap, to classical music, to christian hiphop. lol

Lifting heavy shit to classical music is savage! Lol

That being said, I am not listening to podcasts most of the time since I've gotten bored with my playlists

man I started listening to it one day by accident and I just left it on, and I shit you not from that day forward if it was a rough day or week and I needed to push through classical music is blasting in my headphones.

Give me some suggestions, I wanna try out this psycho shit!

Shoulders and arms yesterday.
Ll cool j
Poison
Motley crue
Ted nugent

Todays session was done listening to Rollins band and the butthole surfers.

Other than Harry bellefonte these are the only bands/artists mentioned so far that I know.

Well I think I saw Snoop Dogg mentioned somewhere; but it was as a feature on some track by lord knows who.

I might be a bit odd in that I do not like to listen to music when I'm lifting weights - I find it distracting and I lose intensity. But music during cardio is a necessity. I do a good 6 hours cardio per week so get through a decent whack of music.

Currently listening to 2 independent British artists called the skinner brothers, and Ren. Not quite what id normally listen to but I guess you need a break from SoCal hardcore & epi-fat every now and then!

Will have to check them out!
l'enfant sauvage
the axe
vacuity
stranded
gift of guilt
yamas messenger
from mars to sirius (the transition sends me into another stratosphere in the gym)
backbone

I could keep listing but those tracks are musts. really every album except amazonia

I’m a huge metal head but I actually listen to mostly rap in the gym because I like a beat. It keeps me hyped! Lil’ Wayne, Meek Mill, Ludicrous, and Drake mostly. Murder, guns, drugs mostly lol.

Outside of the gym Pantera, Unearth, As I Lay Dying, Wage War, Acacia Strain, etc.

I listen to really happy music. youd be surprised the impact it has on your mood. like how architecture can improve your quality of life just by seeing pretty buildings. same thing

definitely helps keep a good headspace when the doses start messing with your mind

It’s either this, or a tad harder, or metal in the gym.
My go to metal band at the moment is In Flames.

Found a "new" band that fits in with my tastes.....

Grew up listening to these guys. They were great in the 90's and their lead singer had a very unique vocal style for that time! Check out the songs "One Man Army" and "Pound For Pound."

Phil H was big on this…felt really hard music would overstimulate and lead the higher fatigue and CNS issues…

Will check it out. I am so happy to find these dudes! It is right in line with my tastes and completely new to me.

WTF did they not get more coverage?
