That is a big cat. Does it eat any more than normal? I've got a big cat and he eats very little.

Big ass cat man! I have a big one that's male(about 20lb's+) and another that's just fat for her frame.

Right now I'm trying to diet them down since they're solely indoor and get them some exercise with a laser and some other toys...It's either that or they'll just get fatter.

I realize that it's cute and all and our pets are like our babies/kids but it's unhealthy when it gets to this point. Later down the road you may find yourself having to give daily insulin injections and making expensive Vet visits for your beloved pet...That can't be fun and we all want our furry friends around for a long time I'm sure.

I know what you mean. Its a novelty to have a big cat but I want him to be healthy. I have a total of 6 cats and 2 dogs (all rescues) and Rocky eats the least out of them all. I even take him outside so he can excersize and he will lay in one spot for hours. He's just very laid back. It's funny cuz all the other cats are scared of him and he couldn't care less. He just wants to lay around

I too have multiple rescue animals. The dogs wrestle/play enough with themselves to burn off any extra cal's...not to mention taking them to dog beach to swim a ton.

You may want to get a blood test for Rocky to see any other reason for his weight issue since he doesn't consume as much as the others but then again, maybe he just needs the right type of stimulation at the right time to get him motivated...Almost sounds like he's the lion of the pride and thinks all the rest better bow down to him

I have a 25lb'er and just recently had a full panel run since the diet I put him on does not work.

For every pound a cat gains, it's equal to 10lbs of human weight gain. Too much fat will stress the heart. My cat is lazy and miserable.

I haven't received test results yet but it's not normal for a cat to be that big, I'm thinking Thyroid issues with mine. He's always constipated too, have to wipe his ass for him, not fun.

Rocky now weighs in at 27 lbs. He is a very large cat. He's probably only 6 or 7 pounds overweight.....Do they have Clenbuterol for cats.......jk
