My buddy's bloodwork. Low free test

He's 30yrs old. He's done only around 4-5cycles all very mild and small with pct,etc... Anyway he's been off for over a year and just got some bloodwork done.

Total test 577 range 220-800
Free test 9.5 range 8.7-25.1
LH 4.8 range 1.7-8.6
FSH 3.8 range 1.5-12.4

he also lactates when squeezing a nipple so they gave him a prolactin test and his prolactin was in range, even in lower end of range and glucose was in range as well on lower end.

Anyway i told him i'd try and find some advice for him why his free test could be so low. He did run 50mg proviron for 2weeks about a month before the bloodtest and then ran some gaspari novedex XT for a few weeks. He finished that friday and his labwork was monday. I figure maybe he needs another test in a month or so b/c mabye the proviron or novedex XT was run too quickly to the test.

Any idea how free test could be on low end but total test normal? Makes no sense?

what were his SHBG levels like?

Thats how mine was. I posted the Androgel 5 grams a day thread. Total test was low normal but free test was below normal.

i'll check if they got those tested. He has always lactated as well but estro and prolactin and glucose were all good.

he's going back for a retest. i told him to tell his doc to check for shbg and dhea this time around. He also lactates and since prolactin,estro and glucose all came back normal I told him to tell her to test him for progesterone b/c that has to be the only other hormone I can think of to test for this.
