MY CHOLESTEROL RESULTS.............

Okay so I have been working hard to keep my cholesterol in check while "dabbling" with some ph's. Here is what I have been doing taking TWICE A DAY:

1) 1 triple strength fish oil capsule
2) 1 flaxseed oil capsule
3) 100 mg. C0-q10
4) 400 mg. phytosterols
5) 1 grapseed antioxidant capsule
6) 500 mg. Slo-Niacin
7) 1 Tablespoon soy lecithin granules
*** I also take 20 mg. Lipitor right before bed ***

I am 40 years old 5'8" 210 and 4 years ago my total cholesterol was 261. Here were my results from yesterday:

Cholesterol, Total: 128 mg/dL (100-199 01)
Triglycerides: 44 mg/dL (0-149 01)
HDL Cholesterol: 54 mg/dL (>39 01)
According to ATP-III Guidelines, HDL-C >59 mg/dL is considered a
negative risk factor for CHD.
VLDL Cholesterol Calc: 9 mg/dL (5-40 01)
LDL Cholesterol Calc: 65 mg/dL (0-99 01)
T. Chol/HDL Ratio: 2.4 ratio units (0.0-5.0 01)

It is alot of pills to take but I think that it is working.................

Were you actually taking any prohormones at the time of either of the tests?

Slow release niacin doesn't do shit.
Drop the flax.
Your total cholesterol is too low, remember all hormones are made from cholesterol.

Did a 5 week cycle of D-Zine. Took 6 weeks off (clomid). Now I am 3 weeks into a Protomax (protodrol) cycle. Had not did anything since last summer. That is why I was kind of shocked by the results. Although Protomax is fairly mild. I guess D-Zine was also.

I take the actual brand called "Slo-Niacin". It actually has alot of good reviews. I think it also has some studies done that showed it does improve cholesterol. I buy it at Wal-mart.

Why drop the flax?

I have also read that about the cholesterol being too low. My problem is that I have a strong family history of heart disease and at 40 am concerned about it.

By the way, I just had my blood pressure checked and it was 117/73. Although again, I take 20 mg Lisinopril daily. Its an ace inhibitor.

Mr. Hernon, I definitely agree about the Slo-niacin. I honestly believe that it has maintained my HDL even while taking oral ph's.

In years past my HDL was really tanked mid-cycle. Like as low as 18 before. But I was not taking any type of cholesterol supports.

Also, this was my first experience with clomid. I usually use nolva. I actually felt like I recovered alot faster with the clomid.

Is SLO Niacin as hard on the liver?

They recommend checking liver enzymes if you take anything over 1 gram a day. I stick with 1 gram a day (Actually most days I just use 500 just 1 with breakfast). My liver values were in range. ALT 38 and AST 34. I take milk thistle and soy lecithin twice a day also. I think the lecithin is way underrated as a liver support.
