My Fascination with inj L-Carnitine

Well I mean I love lifting have since I started but when I was active duty running and functional training is what we did then one day there was a competition on base with an IFBB guest poser and I was in the gym the next day. I found I loved weights, I always loved training whether it was USMC, basketball, rugby etc I always did way more than my peers but I loved getting pumped but my goal from day 1 was competing and that means being shredded I’ve done a lot of shows well for me 20-30 is a lot and I’ve always been shredded mind you that’s not in my genetics I get fat easy. I never placed out of top 3 or overall my first decade of competing, lost a couple to jail for steroid possession which didn’t help my career but I was a paid sponsored athlete and have always made my living here in the world of BB, training, modeling etc. I’ve used all the non stim and early on stims, I’m now very anti-stim but any way carn, vandal sulfate, chromium I believe they all work to a degree but in a somewhat calorie restricted, I’m more of a macros guy but either way when I take a carn and lots it works more so than the others and it’s like anything else when you know your body you see and feel it. I’ve won shows where the only fat burner I took was carn well and green tea no clen no t3 just carn and have been in various bf test thing like dip tanks where the computer said my bf was 0 or unreadable, now we know I’d be dead if that were true but point is it works and again I’m not an endomorph but I put on far easier than any other successful bodybuilder I’ve known my grandparents were obese we just get fat easy so I’m not a genetic wonder now I do cardio like a motherfucker but I take carn before and I feel like it helps me grind harder. People say the oral doesn’t work and I’ve had some I didn’t like but the Beverly has always worked and I like the im too. I don’t have lab work to show you etc but it’s on my short list of supps I will not go without

All I know is when my wife was in her last prep, her nutrition coach, whose an NP and huge peptide fan, had her inject vs oral. His words were oral was a waste of time in comparison.

We’ll that’s true with just about everything, winny, anavar, B-12 m, etc. digestion always wastes some but are you gonna carry around rigs of carn? Yes yes I know some guys will and I’ve had friends sit in holding bc they got pulled over searched and had a pre loaded insulin pin. No charges but cuffed up, car towed, and luckily nothing else in car. With the way most of us look and especially in certain cities I’ve seen guys singled out and fucked just bc of jealously and yea you can be held for having a rig with carn in it I think up to 48 hours so I love them both but I prefer to keep some oral in my program for ease of use. I also dose it out 3-5 times in a day I guess you could pop a few ml in am but even I don’t think it would last all day.

We’ll yes carnitine doesn’t burn fat it dramatically increases it’s use by being the train that pulls it into the mitochondria for use but that makes out a preferential form of energy so yes you burn more fat but not it’s not carn breaking it down specifically. The result is lower bodyfat in a healthy manner though and that’s tough to beat.

Basically I agree (that CPT1/the carnitine system) provides for a necessary but not sufficient condition that is involved in lipolysis & reduced body fat.

Where L-carnitine confers an advantage versus L-citrulline/L-arginine is by increased FA utilization, glycogen is spared. This, in turn, exerts a permissible effect on increasing training volumes, which is ergogenic for aerobic endurance exercise, that in turn increases catecholamines and has a differential effect on lipolysis, α- & β- adrenoreceptor -dependently.

Said smarter than me but the same, what I always did to increase carns ability to break down bf (fa) is by taking fatty acids with it as I always felt like the ingestion of good fats helps to break up or free bad fats for transport so we create the need for energy (diet, posing, training, cardio) make fat the most available fuel and clean burning so obviously no junk and then provide the body a wat to sling shot said free bf into mitochondria and done day after day the body becomes more efficient at it as well as its “norm” which means you do it all the time or for my preps 6 days a week with a cheat meal to keep insulin sensitivity as well as metabolic rate up a bit. I’m sure people can argue some of these points all day, what I’ll say is that myself and my athletes are quite successful at this method so for me that’s ALL THAT MATTERS. I’m sure there are other great methods on another note to argue carn inj. Does cause spot reduction and shaping and this again I’ve seen a lot as well as with GH site reduction. I’ve sculpted abs thru hard work yes absolutely and spot inj that blew guys who even placed ahead of me a few times away as far as the midsection goes. Best abs doesn’t get you an award but it feels good having the best abs in a show even if you took 2nd in your class to a guy 6 inches taller than you lol. Yea I’m 5’7 so usually the shortest on stage since I left MW in 2003. Back when you had to win to move up the ladder in Texas.

Quite a few have posted about the oral vs injectable. Again and as I posted last time don't believe us and see for yourself. Buy a good brand of ALCAR or LCLT caps and run a high dose for 1 month and see how you feel/look. Then go and order 1 bottle of synthetine and run 3ml for just over 1 month and compare the results. 1 month is not long but it's enough to see the difference. I feel a high oral dose more cognitively (actually gave me headaches when I dosed really high) but in regards to physique benefits synthetine is on another level. It's one of the best legal aids and whilst the results are more subtle they add up over time and it's a great compliment to any cycle especially when you are trying to get shredded.

If using for the most incredible pumps in the gym you need to use at least 2ml. Obviously the more the better but for me a dose of 3ml was incredible for pumps and added vascularity and minimal side effects. If using it preworkout I would 100% recommend high carbs that day with plenty of water and electrolytes.

I have used this protocol when getting updated pics done in the past as well. Just when I wanted to look extra vascular and tight/hard it was a fantastic addition. An example I just noticed in one of my threads before this pic I took 3ml synthelator, 20mg cialis and 1 serving of CNP's Expansion...



For any competitors stepping on stage and wanting the ultimate effect they need to follow the bottles dosing recommendation and use the whole 10ml. That should contribute to incredible vascularity, fullness and have an anti-cramping effect.
 
Considering giving this a go... for those of us that train 3x a week... fasted early am... would doing say 400-500 pre workout, and 200-250 off days be sufficient?
On training days I do sip on carbs/EAA intra... and then meal post. On non training days often fast till 3pm though...
 
It might of been placebo or something else’s I was doing, but 500mg inject carnitine…I couldn’t sleep for shit that night. And that’s with mid morning dose.

I didn’t “feel” stimulated….but when it was bedtime, I just tossed and turned and cussed the clock

1ml every day all year round. Yes 600 works great and burns fat like crazy, but also 200mg in your system all year round does a lot more than you think it does in terms of OVERALL benefits.
 
I have always been fascinated with this compound, and the more I learn the more fascinated I become. L-CARNITINE like HGH has many fascinating effects on so many things in the human body. For those of you who take massive amounts of AAS claiming that your a "low responder" you really need to so your research on how to get your body to more efficiently use androgen's, trust me there are ways and L carnitine is part of that pathway. I have been listening to alek kikel lately, he has done a lot of podcast with our very own Mike Arnold, he is a pretty smart young man and has some interesting theory that I have begun to take a closer look at. He like myself is a huge fan of inj. L-carnitine and had a live Q&A on Instagram today so I wanted to get him to talk a little about it so I ask..." inj. L-carnitine how much and how often"? Very very very late to this thread, but I’m curious; was there ever a conclusion on L carnitine’s effect on the thyroid?
