This may be a weird thread, but I was wondering if anyone else on this board suffers from foot pain everyday? Everynight when I get home my feet are killing me and I have noticed that this only happens once I get above 275lbs. I wear new kicks all the time, my BF is @10%, I drink around 2 gallons of water a day and still the pain. I'm not worried about the pain, I am just wondering if anyone else deals with this and if they do what do you do? I am considering buying one of those footbaths. Any suggestions?

Sound's like you might benifit from some orthodics for your shoe's. My feet used to hurt before I got mine, they also releived some back pain.

Well, I guess that means that you're just going to have to atrophy down to the size of us lil people. If so, I may start feeling better about myself when you're around. lol. See ya this weekend Bro.

Thanks bro. Where do I go to get some? Are they custom made for my feet or can I be wearing some by this afternoon?

I had really bad foot pain too. I'm like 255 not even close to 10% b/f though :( Lots of people who work on their feet all day get it too. Nurses, doctors, etc.

Google Plantar Fasciitis. There's lots of info on it.

I went to one of those health and wellness things at the convention center near me. They wanted around $300 for custom made insoles.

I found some insoles at Target for $20 that worked just fine. They have 3 different inserts. My pain is currently gone and I've stopped wearing them for the time being.

Some people wear the those goofy looking sprong shoes. They are supposed to work too. But, they do look different.

Pay the $300 and get them custom molded to your feet

Like others that have posted here, paid the $300 bucks and no pain whats so ever. Well worth it. It was getting so bad I could hardly walk let alone cardio. One thing to keep in mind is that once you have them made you may need to go back for ajustments. It's too pain full to bring your failed arches etc back to the correct form on the first issue. Most places will make adjustments for free for the life of the orthotics.

PS check with your health ins. company. Not all will pay but some do.

I'd also say pay the extra money for custom made inserts if that's not a problem. Then you don't have to mess around trying to find the right level of insert. Like you do for the cheapo ones I found at target.

The place I was thinking about going to for the good ones can have you in and out the door in an hour or two. It's quick. They had people stand on a pad connected to a computer. Then they made them right on the spot.

It took weeks for my pain to go away. Good Luck!

The Good Feet Store...they have you walk on a electronic pressure plate and it sends the info to a computer and you walk out with custom insoles...I gotta tell ya it felt like I had Golf balls in my shoes when I first got them now no more problem with my feet. I can be on them all day and no problem...but then again you've got me by 25lbs:D

Time for you to hit up Footwear Solutions on Scottsdale road. Scott gets all those crazy looking shoes over there and they really do help. Those white MBT shoes that I have would be something that would help big time. They also have more sporty looking styles that are not MBT but work just as good. I've seen them and they look like something you would see at footlocker or something. They run you about $200. Ask Scott when you see him on Saturday. He has like 20 pairs of those things.

I have tried several orthotics the the podiatrist has given me, with the exception of custom fitted ones. I have Plantar Fasciitis and someone recommended the ones here:

They have a corny name, but they have helped me tremendously. I also wear Nike Frees quite a bit and they seem to help, but I'm not sure why...

oh yea...

its been goin on 4 yrs no 4 me... hence why I always seem to be leaning on something.... hahah, u need to sit more thats all u can do. When u get home prop ur feet higher then ur head... its cool aft hrs go buy u can see those veins in ur feet again hahah.

gooey

I got mine in Ft Worth at a runner's specialty store. They have a tread mill that you can walk on and run on, not sure how to explain it but it reads the pressure points on you feet and also it film's you standing, running and walking and they use this data to create the othodic's really cool. But I think just about any podaitrist can help you.

I have some serious problems with my legs, boiled down to collapsed arches. I got lots of pain in my ankles, knees, hips and back because i walked odd (my hip joints had rotated so my legs point out at funny angles).

Definatly get some sort of arch support, if you can find yourself a specialist podiatrist in your area then go see him and enquire about orthosis. You'd be suprised how much they can help.

Otherwise get some shock absorbing shoe inserts, or other type of foot support, they'll most likely work wonders. The fact you mention this only occurs above a certain weight probably means it is linked to some form of strain on the tendons and ligaments that keep your foot organised.

My feet start getting hurt whenever I am half way into my bulking cycle. so I always need to cut a bit in order for myself to walk like a normal person

A few messages ago my feet okay. Now, for some reason my right foot started to kill me today. The bottom of it. And, somehow I pulled something in my left ankle when I was stretching between some sets yesterday. If I turn it the wrong way! Ouch!! Sharp shooting pain. Could be I screwed up my right foot / ankle. Since, I'm compensating for the left ankle. I'm falling apart!

Could be the extra weight I've put on this cycle kicking in to f up my feet again.

I'm going to try, "The good feet store". Till then I'll see if the cheapo Target orthotic help out once again.

Funny you say this. My feet hurt like hell when I first wake up!!! I'm 260 and in the teens and even on days I don't walk or stand much then next morning they hurt like mofo's!! Its like I gotta break in a new pair of feet everyday.
