Day 9
-Today I revisited back training. I switched back and chest days in order to maximize the efficiency of my training split.
-Last week I was able to do weighted chins with 50lbs for 3 sets of 6, just barely getting the 6th rep on every set. If anything, the 6th rep was a little ugly. Today I got 8 reps, 7 reps, and 6 reps on the three sets I did with much more control.
-Last week I was able to row the 150lb DB (very slow and controlled!) for a set of 10. This week I did three sets of 12 with very little rest in between.
-A few weeks ago, I did fixed T-Bar Rows with 4 plates for 8 reps. This week I did 4 plates and a 25 for 12 reps.
-The flat head cable curl machine at the gym... I'm used to repping a certain weight on the machine for around 18-22 reps. Today on my first set, I was able to get 33 reps.
-Basically, strength overall has increased enough for me to notice.
NOTE: Keep in mind that my calories are also being limited, as I'm 7 weeks 5 days out from my show. I also have doubled my cardio to 90min ED... so I'm not in an ideal situation to be gaining like this.
