My Friend Won LHW At Kuclo Classic

Chris Williams took first in light heavyweight at the Kuclo Classic today. He's not on here but I wanted to post some pictures and video as he's a good dude and deserves recognition. He stayed on diet since January to be ready super early for this show. He's been to nationals once or twice before and is determined to get his pro card.

He worked with Andrew Vu for a while but at some point in the last 1-2 months I think he switched to the guy who posted the prejudging video on Instagram. We've been training at different gyms lately so haven't caught up with him in depth.

The overall winner was that guy from austin right? Mihaly? i think he was mr ohio before and pretty big instagram following for his coaching. Did you think he should have won the overall?

I'd guess around 5'8" - knowing where he was through prep he probably weighed in the low 200lbs. range on stage. He does have good width for his structure and his waist is really small which helps the illusion. Below pic is 8 days out.

Yep, Justin Mihaly. I wasn't at the show and haven't seen enough comparisons to say who should have won overall.

Man I haven’t seen Chris in a while, looks like he’s grown a bit.. I remember about 5-6yrs ago when I was at my peak seeing him at LAfitness in Carrollton all the time. We’d chat it up from time to time. I remember he was always trying to get “wide” like me. It’s funny because now I’m seeing this, and I’ve since lost size, now I’d like to get wide like him, again. Geeze, time needs to slow down. Congrats to him on the placing!

I’ll have to catch up with him sometime.
