Weak people always like to knock those of us that are mentally and physically strong. I use it as fuel to feed the fire inside. Don't let her negative comments affect you. Use it as fuel to ever further your goals.

No, I'm not a pro bodybuilder. I've done several local NPC shows, and it's been long time since my last show. In 2008, I ballooned out… gaining the most weight ever and it was very slow coming off. I found I had hypothyroid. After a long struggle to get the weight off, I have learned that keeping a steady diet is more important that ever. It's now a lifestyle not "cutting" and no more "bulking"… it's too hard to get the weight off. I just try to eat steady meals through out the day. Low fat / Medium carbs / high protein

I started working in college… that was over 20 yrs ago. After I graduated, I moved back home while I was looking for a job. My parents had a family membership to the local fitness center. One day we were in the car going some where (I can't remember) but I"ll never forget the conversation. Mom told me that she didn't think I should be lifting weights. I disagreed with her. Then she goes on to tell me that too much muscle on women doesn't look good. I continued to disagree with her and she tells me, "Women don't need muscle." LOL

Then years later when I decided to do my first competition, I never told my parents because I knew how negative they would be. My competition was the same weekend as Easter, so I had to tell when we got together Easter day. Let's just say it didn't go over very well. Now we just agree to disagree and occasionally we buttheads :banghead: about it. LOL

There is nothing that I hate more is body shaming people. Even if they are over-weight. It still is just wrong to act that way toward people Recently I hear that Ronda Rousey… MMA fighter… was receiving body shaming reply's on Facebook. It's terrible.

I'm a firm believer that family are just people. And when you have toxic people in your life you should remove them. Not saying bodybuilding should be more important to you than the lady who gave you life, but ya know....
