Hi All

does any of you have paid version of myfitnessPal ? My wife wants to upgrade. It says you can customise macros/cals by meals. In the unpaid version u cant its shows a breakfast lunch dinner and snack.

Feedback me sluts if you got one and if it is worth upgrading or not

:) Cheers

Have a look at the app called Fat Secret.

It's free and gives you more leeway than MFP without the annoying ads. It's in the APP store.

Give it a test run and it may just be enough to satisfy her. You can create your own special meals in it, and it remembers what you have most recently eaten in the last few weeks.

You tell it the calories you want, and it tells you how many you have left for the day's total. You can also set specific macros, but I don't think those show up.

But I can look at my daily totals and it tells me how many carbs, protein, fats I have already consumed for the day...it can also track fiber, sugar, and sodium.

It may just be enough to keep you from having to pay. You just sign up with an e-mail account so that you can keep all of your records if you switch phones....and they never bother you.

You can do all this with MFP.

Plus their food database is a pretty good size...and growing everyday as more people join and add foods to it. But it covers most of the major restaurants and fast food chains....and store bought stuff too.

I don't care for the free version of MFP because of all the ads. The other has a General User Interface that is easier to use IMO....an no ads.

But I guess it's whatever you get used to.

But to answer dev question, I wouldn’t waste my money on the upgrade version. Never used but don’t see the real need.

I wouldn’t pay to upgrade it by any means, there are better trackers out there now. MyFitnessPal is a great starting point, but has become so crazy saturated with poor data I think better options exist.
