Myostatin confusion

I'm posting this in hope some of our scientists chime in and clarify a few things.

So far, I've learned that there are 3 substances that may block or deactivate our own myostatin.

1 - Myo-029 aka Stamulumab ($2350.00 per gram).

2 - ACVR2B polyclonal antibody ($150.00 per uL).

3 - Human Follistatin ($180.00 per 20ug)

Questions:

Which one is the real deal?

Which one was used on the mighty mice or the big bulls?

How much of each would make us the next Mr. O? :D

Any reply will be appreciated.

from what I read and heard, number 2 is good choice

Even if there was a human protocol for this type of thing, wouldn't this stuff be so hard to find (and way too expensive) to really be able to make any use of it?

Those are the prices right there...
Depending on the dosage needed it could be affordable for some...
Just thoughts...

Bump

This is the most promissing muscle building avenue to ever come on the scene. Surely it has already been used for athletic enhancement. I was thinking that if I had some and made incredible gains would I want to tell anyone that it was from anti myostatin therapy. It might be something too good to tell others about and would be a closely guarded secret. You might not want every geezer in your gym to be on it. Now for a pro it would be a much more closely guarded secret. Imagine the demand from olympic athletes for this stuff. If we keep asking for information about it we arent going to get it very soon at least. It is up to us to get this and try it out ourselves. But with something like this do we really want to have every one on the street with blocked myostatin? I think this will remain under a cloak of secrecy for a while unless we just get some and try it. I bet people are using it to great effect and keeping it real secret. Imagine a pro blocking his myostatin and dropping way down on the gear but at the same time growing and looking alot better. This could make people with average genetics reach or surpass the current pros. If we look at the pro bodybuilders who has made the most progress in the last few years. Answer that and you know who has messed with their myostatin? This myostatin may give a person a more healthy look because of less drug use needed and may make muscles look rounder and more aesthetic.

I think myostatin blockers will ruin bodybuilding
with myostatin blocker anyone can get a bodybuilders look with out even going to a gym
I think it sux and unfair because there are a lot of people who were working their asses out in a gym to get big and look good
just think how much time you have spent in a gym and how much hard work you put to look good and now every junk eater can get as big as you with no problems

they will quickly die due to their poor conditioning being unable to support that much mass.

some of you guys seem to be jumping to conclusions a little early, just because a few studies show positive effects in mice and a dog doesn't mean anyone who does it will be able to compete against jay cutler....

Agreed bro.
I just think we could discuss these a bit more because these drugs are already available and anyone can purchase them.

I have to tell you, if they made something that I could take and wouldn't have to workout or wake up early and prepare my meals and all the time that goes into the lifestyle I would take it and be happy as a shit. I would still workout but not like now, I definitely wouldn't try and push through injuries and make them worse like now. I would just take the magic pill and be happy.

Amen...

seems to be interesting.

there used to be a protein powder out a while ago, and it used to say it blocked myostatin. dont really remember the name of it. muscle juice or something to that effect? i dont know. it was expensive. and i noticed no difference then.

i think it is great that there is science in there that is supporting the fact that we may be able to take our genetics to the next level. i know i have crap genetics and it takes a LOT for me to have gotten to where i am now. and if i can take this to get another edge, then great. i am all cards in. atleast to see what its like and what everyone else is thinking about it.

Yeah, I agree. But maybe we could do well against Federov? :p

Seriously though, I'd want to know a little more about the actual effects in humans before we start touting this type of thing as the greatest thing ever.

human testing...

did anyone from this board participate in testing. I am wondering if you can just order this stuff like igf-1 since it is experimental product.

Yeah, I agree. But maybe we could do well against Federov? :p

.

i couldn't believe the wimbledon prize money, something like 5million. i thought the golfers did good getting around a cool million for winning a golf tourney.

Agreed bro.

**broken link removed**

here you may have already seen this, it covers many of the topics regarding myostatin. I beleive this is already in use, given the fact that people put far more dangerous drugs into their bodies everyday legally, and I can't help noticing the similarity in shape to the belgian blue bulls and some of the largest bodybuilders today:cool:

This is writen by one of the world experts in this subject, I wonder if anyone here knows him and could get him to make an advised comment regarding human anti myostatin use, i think his email is on his website and on this review, would be nice to have an experts view, but probably a really busy guy!!

FOr me this is the wonder drug that many companies fear indeed. This research could easily end many thriving industries, including supplements and steroids, along with obesity, shit it is actually never ending. I personally would like to see some genuine human trials if there aren't any already and to see all the potential side effects and risks associated with the use of this. Reading the research it is hard to find any, and given that belgian blues are alive and healthy with more muscle/less fat than ever the uses for human cosmetic enhancement are no doubt attractive. And it seems that s many more dangerous drugs have been given human trials, there must be many muscle wasting diseased people who would be more than happy to trial it, not to name the huge line of bodybuilders looking for the holy grail. :)

I would like to see any further reading if anyone has any or any genuine info that may be relavant to this field.

cheers
