We BASE jumped one of the buildings there while it was under construction ca. 2002ish - a 400 footer iirc

Was a great jump but we got busted! Happened to be jumping with a fire department captain so we were free to go!

You need to go to Iron Legacy Gym. The gym is really hardcore, with more rustic equipment and a bodybuilding environment. The owner used to be a competitive bodybuilder. There are photos of many bodybuilders on the wall and it makes for great workouts. They also have day passes as well as weekly passes for a reasonable rate.

maybe i'm a looser but part of the excitement i get from going on vacation besides all the amazing restaurants and food is visiting different gyms. if you go to Golds check out all the signed 8x10's that cover the walls they go all the way back to the early 80s, very cool.

I'm the same way. I enjoy finding new, rare, or really old equipment I haven't used or have only seen on YouTube.

I lived there 30 years ago so I'm not really 100% up to speed on all the happenings in Myrtle but I think the old Gold's is now Iron Legacy.

damn thats crazy. times they are a change'n. i had been there in the 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's. nevertheless yes that is a great gym. i hope all that changed is the name.

Really, I get it but this time around I am staying tight. We stayed a week and are leaving tomorrow. I don't think anyone mentioned Planet Fitness here but my girl goes there in Ohio so our first day we tried it. It was free for us. And I am not going to lie it wasn't bad and they fucking women. I have actually had three great workouts there. lol

Same here. next time I am going to spend some more time exploring. But I think my vacations are going to center around beaches, legal THC, concerts, and train at different gyms.

i like working out on the beach, then run the shore break for some miles..
without fail, youll get random females or males(no homo at least on my part), trying to join in.
its a cool interaction.
