So i wanted to start taking this supplement but I am getting mixed reviews on when to take it. I thought before meals would have been the best time but some friends are saying PWO is also a good time.

So my question is this, doesnt Na-R-ALA reduce insulin spike? If this is the case wouldn't you want to spike your insulin PWO and wouldnt this go against PWO meal thoughts?

Any help would be great, also if one was taking a GHRP I was thinking take GHRP dose and 15-30 mins later take Na-R-ALA....thoughts?
 
Its used as a glucose disposing agent, and a glucose uptake within muscles.

If you eat a huge meal of carbs, it will help lessen the spike of insulin.

If you use post workout, it shuttles the nutrients to the muscles better/faster.
 
First of all ALA is one of the absolute best supplements you can take..bar none...I would put it up there at the top..

You can use it as an insulin mimetic with meals...there are some studies out there that showed it helped creatine work better too..along those same lines..

you can use as an antioxidant - they say betwen meals..but i thinks its fine no matter when...it literally recycles antioxidants in your body..very potent antioxidant..

it has shown the ability to regenernate liver tissue

and on and on...I have some posts with more detail on this site about it if u care to search..

I sure will because I for one believe in keeping the liver as healthy as possible and I will be looking into that study on ALA. I know everyone cares about thier liver but I think we take it for granted until something went wrong and I was one of them. I now will never stop taking CARSIL and LIV-52 and though I was looking at ALA for Insulin usage I now have something else to look at and another reason to take it.
