Do not take 12g of NAC a day sheesh. There are side effects and they can be pretty serious.

It needs glycine and I think methionine to create glutathione. Vit c is just a helpful antioxidant in its own right, maybe it helps nac be utilized before it can be oxidized.

Not advocating, nor suggesting. He (Nothuman) didn't have access to the full literature to his abstract citation, nor did he know how to figure the human equivalent dose per inter-species.

It seems in almost every case I see it discussed, those human equivalent calculations are pretty obscene. NAC probably isn’t safe in really high doses anyways, in humans. Something about pulmonary hypertension and breakdown of blood brain barrier.
