Over the past 2 years, I've been experiencing recurrent twinges/pinches in my neck during lifting. After each episode, I end up with an annoying discomfort in the back of my neck for 2-3 days.
Seems to happen more often during pull-ups and dips, but I've even experienced it with front squats and dumbell presses. Last week I went to check my fucking blind spot while DRIVING and it happened. It's getting really annoying. Seems I'm just becoming more prone to it as I age.
Does anyone else suffer from this? Are there any exercises/rehab movements/warmups I can incorporate to decrease the incidence of this happening? I've never been to a chiropractor due to fear of them fucking me up, but I'm starting to consider it.
Edit: I should also mention that I'm an oral surgeon which doesn't help the situation. Proper ergonomics are not always possible in my line of work.
