Need advice on leg swelling?

So I thought someone here might know, but my Mom messed up her left ankle awhile back and needed surgery on it. But before she had the ankle issue her same leg started kindof swelling, and she said the top of her foot feels slightly numb sometimes. She has trouble walking on that leg even after her ankle has recovered. The swelling and everythingis still thereI think from her foot up to the knee area. Any ideas on what to look into or try??

is there redness or heat? either way, i would see a doctor. not trying to scare you but it could be a dvt or something serious.

Could it possibly be a blood clot??? I would get her to a doctor ASAP bro. Could be anything from a nerve to God knows what. Good luck and Godspeed my friend.

I think too sometimes having heart problems can manifest itself in endema of the lower limbs.

but i must add that this is something i wouldnt miss a doc appt for. get it checked out

Post surgery swelling would indicate a clot. If it was showing signs of swelling before hand I would say possible pedal edema. But an ankle surgery with an existing condition like this needs to have close supervision from the caring surgeon.

Thanks guys, I also forgot to throw in shes been having pain around her tailbone down her hamstrings. This makes me wonder if it has something to do with the sciatic nerve or something? I dunno. But shes had it looked at supposedly and they dont know what it is. Im trying to get her more into exercising and will bring up what you guys suggested. Hopefully it is nothing serious :st:r-wars
