First, thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope some of you judges/IFBB pros/and national level competitors can guide me on a decision I need to make.
I've done 2 shows this season. NPC Atlantic USA where I took 1st MW OPEN and qualified. Just did NPC Atlanta where I took 1st LHW OPEN. I purposefully dropped weight for the first show of the year in order to improve my chances of qualifying, and it worked. The second show I came in at my natural weight...weighing in at 186lbs Sat morning before prejudge.
I'm pretty sore and tired of BB right now and taking a week, maybe two away from gym to get my mind and body right.
Here's where I need help. I will either return to gym in a week or so and continue in prep mode and do the NPC Georgia in July (as a LHW) and THEN go offseason......then enter either 2012 Jr USA next year or 2012 Nationals in ATL (as its in my backyard).
or
I will go offseason when I return to the gym in a week or so and stay that way until 2012 and enter either JrUSA (few hours from home) or maybe Nationals in ATL b/c in my backyard. This method gives me 15 months offseason for 2012 Nationals iATL (in my backyard.)
I KNOW i need to bring up my Lat Width and arms, generally all upper body to an extent to match my legs.
My question is as follows: Do you think I SHOULD go ahead and stay in prep mode and do the NPC GA in July and then go offseason......Or should I go offseason NOW.
I really hate the idea of doing the GA in 11 weeks and not being able to add muscle or fix my problems. Hate getting on stage with the same problems and same package I just got on stage with this weekend.
Hope this makes sense. Which route would you recommend?
