i'm 26 and i typically run AAS for 6 months on, 6 months off... i really want to be on more throughout the year... but i feel i'm too young to stay on all year round and end up on trt. just wanted to get some insight here... is it that much of a difference if i just come off maybe twice a year for a month or two at a time??
i hate being off for long periods of time. if i recover fine, does it matter how long i'm off for? does going back on too early hinder my chances of recovery next time around?

i don't use high dosages at all.. usually 500 to 750 test and gh and peps. once in a while throw something else in. thats it.

So you have been running 6 consecutive months on then 6 consecutive months off?:confused: If that's the case you certainly could run 2-3 month cycles and then you'd never be off for more than 2-3 months depending on your off time. This really is a personal choice how long to cycle or blast. Certainly you can be on for whatever time period you want. How long you're off for is going to depend on how thorough your recovery is. Many of us blast and cruise but it sounds like you are completely off to allow your natural recovery. At some point in time you have to just make the decision to be on for more time. Even cruising on 200mg/wk is going to preserve more muscle than being completely off. That decision of course is your alone.
 
The thing is that in the winter if it snows I work 12 hour days everyday. And can't fully keep up with training and my eating falls off when I work so much. It's hard to stay focused when I'm so worn out. That's why I like to stay on during the spring and summer.
I probably just need to plan my year out better with on and off time.
 
That's quite the dilemma then. If you take the winter off I suppose there's not much point being unless [aside from greater retention]. But at the same time if you know you are taking 3-4 month virtually off from training, etc. then its hard to accommodate your request too. I suppose like you said you'll either have to deal with the schedule or find a way to train in the winter months.
 
You can still accomplish quite a bit with two weekly training sessions. Having said that maybe the winter would just be more of a maintenance mode for you. Then again the counter argument is that's when you might choose a moderate cycle even with just a couple weekly training sessions so you don't lose your summer gains completely. Many different ways to slice the onion
 
yea i can get it done in two sessions.. three and i'm golden.... i just want to be on most of the year...

part of me wants to just never come off but not sure at my age if thats a good idea.... i want to have kids.. but from the consensus on this board seems almost everyone can conceive after years of usage.

Now granted I was done having kids before I started but you are correct there is a lot of assistance compounds out there if you need the when it comes time for babies
