Need help coming up w/ name for a gym.

hey, i am starting up my own gym and cant think of anything creative to name it. i was thinking something with Atlas in it. anyone have soome good ideas?

I had a small gym in my city called Briggs. Mind you there last name was not Briggs. So I was dumbfounded by this. I think if your looking for a crowd that will pay the bills advertise as a fitness center and not a "gym". Normal people dont want to work out in a sweaty dirty "gym" . I like that atmosphere but the reg person who pays the bills doese not. Just what I saw with that gym ( it is now closed). Later.

or just "Iron" or even "Pumping Iron" or " Elite Physique" ?? i like that one

Or if its not so hard core how about "Fitness 4 U"

or " lifetime Fitness" or if you like atlas then " Iron Atlas"

we have a gym called "pure Fitness" and "fitness 1"

or "ROID RAGERS " totally kidding.

if you name you club in plural it will give the impression there is more than one which is also beneficial.

i'll try to think of more later...

from a biz standpoint dont try to give it a hardcore name. it will not attract biz.. if its a hardcore gym word will spread and hardcore types will join up.. but a hardcore name on the from of a building you wanna earn loot from will not work well it will be very offputting to the average joe.



i need a name of a dog training biz with the word "university" in it...any ideas anyone ?

I think the name should be one word and something for which you can do a logo easily that would be recognizable. You also have to base the name on the clientele that you are trying to attract. So if it is hardcore lifters you seek it is fine to call your place a gym....however if you want the general community it may be better to use "fitness centre".
