need help fast : maybe an infection

well I did my injection on friday into both legs

the day after the left one was ok, the right one was really painful and I had a hard time to walk but no redness no nothing

yesterday it started to swell a bit and I was losing some veins on my legs because of swollen aspect but it was also a lot less painful and I was able to walk correctly
during the day it got a bit red and continued to swell

I decided to sleep with a alcohol wipe on it as and almost immediatly felt less pain which is weird ....

now I just woke up, my right leg is swollen (only one part of it) but no more redness BUT the swollen aspect has now gone down to the outside part of my knee and I'm a bit scared now
when I touch it, it feels like there is water in it or i don't know what

this never never happened to me with that batch of gears ans the left leg is 100% ok ....

this morning I took an antibiotic and will continue to put alcohol on it ...

can it be an infection ? or did hit a nerve badly ?

need help !!

|--[\\\\]>---------- it could be, but also maybe not. you are introducing a foreign substance to your body via inj. your body is tyring to deal with what you put into your quad. usual signs of infection are swolleness, red and warm to the touch. if it doesnt get better within the nxt few days, i'd see a doc.

A buddy of mine had the same thing happen. I told him to go to the ER and tell them he was sitting in class with shorts and there was a screw under the desk that stuck his leg. His was actually an abscess I belive he got a penacilin shot and went on some antibiotics and it was fine. Just don't let them know you injected anything without a script.

I started an antibiotic this morning ... it fuckin sucks !

Just keep consistent on the anti-biotics and be observent, if the redness spreads and swelling contiues for the next two days while on anti-biotics, then I would start to worry. I think keflex work's well.

i would imagine the "swelling" that has gone down to your knee is water from localized edema. did your doc prescribe you the antibiotics? if so, stay on the whole time he said...not just until it goes away. i had an infection in my tri's one time from aas and the doc put me on antibiotics for 12 days i think, but it was fine by day 4 or 5. i remember phil very adamantly saying to stay on antibiotics for the whole course not just until it's gone.

Yeah, with these newer antibiotics you have to stay on them until you finish the prescribed amount. Definitely sounds like an abscess. Take care of yourself and try to keep your leg elevated.

Yes, sounds like a sterile abcess. I had one in my tricep last year. If it is you will have to get it drained at the docs. I would advice to go to him asap. To at least let him have alook. I drained mine myself(not adviced). I took at least 50ml of what doctors call straw out of it. Straw is a redish, yellowish gooue. Hope all goes well.

If and only if....

If you have to go to the ER, just tell them it started out as a small bite. Tell them you may have been biten by a spider. This is what I told them when I got an infection from some nasty gear. Also, if the night sweats start, you can best believe the antibiotics are not going to have an effect on the infected area. Believe me, I was taking them orally and received a localized injection of antibiotics, and they still had to remove the infection.
