Need help

I don't want to get into all the details because I could write a whole book on what is happening in my life right now. That being said, I would appreciate if responses can focus solely on my question instead of trying to insinuate anything

Yesterday while I was at work, she came to my apt (has a key) without telling me to search to see if I have gear. Well she found everything and it has started a colossal disaster.

My question is... Is there any way I can tell my mother (I am almost 26) that I will stop taking steroids without her knowing I will still be using? She came to the doctor with me today and threw a complete mental tantrum in the office and it was...very ugly. How can I continue doing what I am doing, while tricking her into thinking I am not?

One thing I can think of is getting some type of software that allows me to scan bloodwork and edit some things on it (mainly testosterone levels) and show it to her. I am afraid she will force herself on coming to all my future doctor visits again though.

anyone have any ideas where I can continue my passion without having to deal with this nonsense?

Yes today while at the doctor. They said I should know the results on Friday. Even if I am extremely healthy, it will have no influence on her

Like I said, I didn't type up every detail. But since you asked, yes I tried everything I could to do so. sent links to studies, youtube clips, bigger faster stronger, etc. She is unable to listen to reason. She has gone completely insane and won't stop crying, putting me in a very unfair position

This is so bad to the point she is making me choose between her and these "horrible drugs that turn you into a monster and are much worse than heroin" as she puts it.

Any knowledge of that scanning thing I am talking about? I'd love to be able to edit things like that and make sure I schedule my own doctors appts without telling her

You really don't understand the type of person she is. I tried HARD. She flat out said it is worse than crack and meth. It's hopeless

There is a good network news segment on AAS that puts them in a realistic and more positive light. It has several doctors talking about how they aren't actually that dangerous, and it questions the current state of their legal status for consenting adults. I don't have the clip handy, but if someone could find it, perhaps showing it to her could help.

Also, change the lock on your door, at 26 it isn't right for your mom to do that to you. You need to set up boundaries and be firm about them, parents are irrational when it comes to their children.

Things like bloodwork are easy to modify, you make a few copies, cut out some numbers, use some scissors and glue, and photocopy the final product again.

SHe has to respect your privacy and independance as an adult. There really is not anything that you can do about this IMO. Hopefully over time she will be able to accept it. Lying to her is the worst thing that you could do, so dont do that.
She really does have legitimate reasons to be worried for you though. Consider the fact that she knows that you are using strong hormones that are prescription only and that you are young and are doing this on your own. Its illegal too and she is probably concerned that you might be arrested and end up with a felony on your record. Once you get a felony its going to be a bitch to get a good job. She is not being totally off the wall here, there are some concerns.
Whatever you do, dont let her come on here and read my thread about when I had my heart attack!

That clip would be a nice tool to use. I know it won't work at all, but I would love to have it regardless just in case. At this point she is crying non stop and saying horrible morbid unthinkable things to me. I am acting like an adult and she is not. I am going through a really difficult time right now

I am probably going to change the lock. The only issue is I live in a building with doormen and they know her. I would have to tell them to refuse to give her the spare key and that will be tough if they get in that battle with her.

Yes I can understand her worry. But she is taking it too far and is acting like a total baby about it. I don't even want to mention the horrible things she has said to me because it bothers me. She even found cialis and imagine how embarrassing it was to talk about that one.

Deny everything to everyone and stay clean a while. Deny it even to your mother, yeah even after she saw it. Tell her you were afraid she was getting senile so you just went along with it and it wasn't steroids it was vitamin B12 shots you take for health. Express concern about her psychotic episodes and tell her not to worry, you'll get her help and find her a good home.

The reason you should clean house is that in her current state she may get desperate and try to tell the authorities.

You're too old to have your mother tell you what to do unless you are dependent on her in some way.

And she should not come to the doctor with you and you should not tell a doctor you used steroids. Good luck with your health insurance, that's all I'm sayin'.
