need some help...so i decided to post this. thanks

so Nov2017 i started to get a burning sensation(not severely painful, but its not normal feeling), plus aches in my kidneys... when i urinated.

i went to my MD he ran all the blood tests and pee tests and everything came out perfect(blood tests) and negative on any infections on urine tests(kidneys good). So my doc prescibed me some anti-bioitics for safe measure in case there was a urinary tract infection.. said to come back when i finished the medicine...

so two weeks later i come back to him and told him im still getting that burning feeling when i urinate and NOW when i ejaculate...so he ran more tests.. everything comes out negative(for anything abnormal)...im normal.. so he prescribes me a different type of anti-biotics.. once again for safe measures.

so 2-3 weeks pass by and nothing has changed after that other round of antibiotics.. so i decided to go to another MD(to get a second opinion) covered by my insurance.. he ran the same tests and i showed him pics of the medicine bottles i was prescribed by the other MD..so he prescribed me bactrim for 20 days...

he said if i dont see a difference then he will refer me to a specialist..Urologist...but the last time i saw him i told him i started to get unbearable lower back pains where i couldnt walk.(i have a high tolerance for pain, this i couldnt take it). he said it could be one of two things... 1) enlarged prostate(pushing against the lower back) or 2) bulged or herniated disk putting pressure on those nerves that co-relate to the urinary tract system.

so the specialists....because im a new patient its a long wait.. i will see the back doc next Thursday and the urologist end of the month.

the pain radiates all over my body... left rib, right rib, kidney areas, groin areas...so now i've become...whats the word?? pessimistic or just a overall negative feeling these guys wont find the problem...

my buddy had the same problem with chest pains that all these docs couldn't find the problem or cause of his chest pains.. so he just said fuck it.. he went to the ER and told him chest pains and they ran every test that night on him and ended up finding the problem.. was over 30k which his insurance only covered half, because it was a non ER visit in their eyes... he told me to do the same thing.... my insurance will cover 100% ER visit if it is at all costs a ER visit(that there is no other option), but if you could wait and see a doc they will only cover half...due to non emergency.

its came to a point from so many failed attempts by docs(since Nov 2017) that ive became depressed about the whole ordeal...suicide has actually crossed my mind, due to the pain.... what would you guys do in this situation? i can literally feel my body melting away...i stopped working out 2 months ago due to the back pain... this past week i said fuck it and started to take some pain meds(friends RX) to get me working out again. im not looking for any ones sympathy... i just would like to hear your thoughts or what your actions would be. thx

I agree with the ER thing. Maybe you have to contend it saying it was a true emergency after the fact. I did something similar on Christmas Eve this past year and the insurance paid for it because it was late at night, no doctors were open, and I thought it warranted a trip to the ER since they really wouldn't be able to check out "chest pains" at an urgent care.

My situation was uncontrollable vomiting but my chest hurt from heaving so I told them that too when I was admitted.

You mention back pain a few times. Try and get a lumbar MRI to see what going on there. Typically lumbar issues effect the legs and rarely the saddle/genital/groin area. You can have lumbar issues that can effect the front of your abdomen as well but its not usually described as a burning sensation. Lumbar MRI's focus on the lumbar spine yet can show the kidneys secondarily.

If you are thinking things like suicide I would tell your PCP right away. Its your mind playing tricks on you. Anytime a person feels ill, your mind will start to become depressed. Its just how it is. You will likely get better and it would be a shame if you harm yourself prior to resolution of your symptoms. Make sure to tell the next doctor you see about this or even call your PCP tomorrow.

could be related to prostate. i've had prostatitis and it's caused many of the symptoms you've mentioned plus more. the lower back pain was excruciating not to mention my nutsack felt like it was locked in a vice grip. I literally wouldn't be able to even stand up. theres a few different types of prostatitis so it might not necessarily be picked up on bloodwork. went on for almost a year off and on.

If you want to be involuntary committed and have to deal with another set of issues I would not follow this advice.

If the pain is that severe I would go to the ED immediately and get the diagnostic tests done and also demand some medicines for pain relief. They have to make sure your stable before discharging you, so they will run every test imaginable to cover there asses. Be very upfront about pain management and make sure they at least get the pain to a barable level.

saw palmetto 600mg day for the prostate and urinary tract works very well, stay away from antibiotics

Honestly it sounds like the exact symptoms one of my guys had a couple years ago , it ended up being kidney stones.

Not sure, i could guess but instead ill just tell you that if i were me I would find a way to get imaging done of the prostate and lower back.

There a variety of other things not directly related to the prostate or lower back that could result in similar things but lets stick with most likely for time being.

If you are struggling to find someone to image you then you could always just pay cash. It would be a few hundred for an MRI, no script needed.

If you are really concerned about some real systemic badness you could get a full body scan CT for about 400 from shoulders through pelvis.

Sorry cant be of more help but you have been seen by two physicans who thought infection and treated you for UTI, prostate and ran test likely included STI. so lets take a look and rule out some stuff.

just got back from the Urologist... and i am very RELIEVED!! mentally not physically after his finger up my ass stuff... but he said i have prostatitis.. he says its not due to infection becuase i brought all 5 empty antiobiotics with me to show him what the other MDs prescribed me.. he said its inflammed.. so he prescribed me a special anti-inflamatory.. he said the swollen prostate is causing my back pain... i asked how it is inflammed? he asked if i take testosterone? i said yes... he said thats why.. i told him i take 5mg finasteride a day..doesnt that minimize the dht conversion? he said thats for normal levels of test production.. i only take 250mg-300mg a week.. i didnt tell him that...he was cool.. he said all my blood tests look normal and didnt give me a lecture on coming off.. he said i was very healthy and to take these meds and comeback in a month.. he was cool where he didnt judge me on my anabollic usage, where last female doc told me to stop AAS imediately or she wouldnt send me to a specialist... thanks guys for all your feedback... a HUGE wieght has been lifted off my shoulder.. THANKS

he said he will do a CT scan in my follow up visit if the pain persists... but he asked if it feels like im sitting on a golf ball when i sit down in a chair? i said yes.. he said everything i told him were signs of prostitis(sp?).

i told him when i ejaculate it burns.. he said that the prostate is only responsible for that... makes sense... i told him i pissed teusday morning and my pee was cloudy.. he said thats due to the debri from the inflmation... he did another pee test and everything came out negative.. im just relieved i found the problem.. i thought i had cancer

yes sir! i was so negative becuase ive been to so many docs close to a year.. i became depressed... i mentally thought about what i would tell my family and friends that i had prostate cancer...should i hide it? and say nothing and live my life like normal and just pass away? or should i tell them and see them panic and their emotions get me more depressed...
