That's part of the premise - he's very socially awkward so he pours everything he has into bodybuilding.

That scene in the bedroom where he asks the woman "you think my deltoids look small?" total insecure wanna be bodybuilder move ... No game.. ladies man for sure....

I’m all for it. Suspend disbelief, guys—it’s just a movie. If it helps humanize bodybuilding and shows that these athletes are real people with real struggles, that’s a win for the sport. Exploring different ways of life is always valuable, even if it's dramatized and not entirely realistic—after all, it’s Hollywood.

For example, I even found myself empathizing with Brendan Frasers' character in "The Whale", despite a lot of his issues being self-inflicted. Humans are complicated.

I don’t think the movie looks very good but I’m glad a bodybuilding movie is being released featuring a major actor like Jonathan Majors who killed it in Creed 3 and is back from being cancelled. It’s good for bodybuilding IMO.

Not gonna comment on his personal life but he’s is a very good actor in my opinion… The harder they fall is one of the better westerns to come out in a long time.

Love you but Creed 3 was the biggest turd to come out of Hollywood in a while. Majors is a great actor but I wouldn’t use that as evidence lol…

Both of those are Aronofsky movies too. The Wrestler was so good.

I actually thought that was a good movie, aside from the insane roid stereotype it rolled with.

Never saw Black Swan. Well maybe that one scene. Ha ha. The Wrestler was absolutely awesome. Mickey Rourke was incredible in that role. Should have won an Academy Award.

@danieltx posted about this a while back when it was first supposed to be released. Then Majors beat up his ole lady and they shelved it. I don’t expect it to be 100% accurate to the life we lead but I’m def gonna watch it lol.

I think the studio may have had a conflict with his hands off screen. Maybe let things cool off a bit

The studio that originally had it actually thought so highly of it - even after Majors' domestic violence incidents - that they sold the rights back to the director so he could find a studio that would release it.

A lot of guys in here have been negative about the film which shows they clearly haven't followed its development. When it screened at Sundance it was considered the best film of the festival. It got rave reviews from Variety, The New York Times, and more. Many called it one of the greatest character studied ever done and compared it to films like Taxi Driver and The Wrestler. If you see it and thing it's a shit movie then I'm guessing you wanted something that was all about injections, recreational drugs abuse, hardcore partying, etc.
