Recently - in the past 3 months - I began incorporating decline bench presses, dumbell presses, and flyes into my chest routine. It was really out of boredom because I have never done any decline work before. I always stuck to incline and flat presses and flyes with the addition of dips and some cable work.

But, my chest has literally exploded and I think it's because of the declines. I always lacked what I consider "great" development right under my chin - the upper, upper chest. This is where I'm seeing the most development. Also, my outer chest is filling in really well.

If anyone else is neglecting declines - start doing them now!

You won't regret it!

yeah man i had to start doing decline presses due to a shoulder injury, and i am consistently amazed at how well my chest (upper chest included) has responded. i feel like i can really isolate and squeeze my pecs on each press, much better than with flat or incline presses.

Always good idea to mix things up and hit different angles.

New angles are what is making your developement come along nicely, I would think. You were probably used to the old way you were training and the shock of something new blew it up.
I wouldn't think that anyone with a shoulder injury would do declines though. This angle seems to put more stress on my shoulders that anything. But what works for some may not work for others. And that is what is great about BB as you need to find what works for yourself. I'm glad your training is coming along well, keep us informed or your progress!
