So I'm looking to work on my deadlift, and hopefully bring it up to my goal of 600+ and 405 for 20 reps. Right now I deadlift every week on my shoulder day (usually only 3 shoulder exercises, then on to deadlifts). I alternate heavy and high reps each week. One week I'll do triples, adding weight until I can't get three reps. At the end of this workout I'll use 315 or maybe 365 to go for a set of 20+ reps. The next week I'll do more high rep work, 4 or 5 sets of 10 to 15 reps.

Today doing my heavy day I did 525 for 2 and missed the third rep. What sort of deadlift routines would you all reccomend? I've heard doing heavy singles is really draining and should be done sparingly.

I dont post much around here so my opinion wont weigh much

Im a high 6 to 7 puller and train with a high 7s to 8 puller and a guy that did 750@181

Getting your Deadlift up comes down to working the weak spots in your pull, we rarely pull super heavy from the ground unless its rep work, our heavy stuff is building up all angles above and below the ground as well as the opposite stance

try these 4 movements sometime in your training and i bet theres one that is way off

3in deficit pull, 3in mat pull (weights on matts), 6in mat pull, and a sumo deadlift from the ground

Find out which one is the worse and build that one up, say if its the 3in mat pulls, do those every other week for your heavy stuff, then the other week do your higher reps from the ground

Also, add in some wide stance pause squats and STRICT goodmornings
