No progress on lifts when off

I would just follow whatever Phil says...I mean having differnt opinions is nice and all, but I think if you hired Phil to do your training and diet...Then you should just follow his advice...I just dont want you to get confused on what everyone is saying is the right or wrong thing to do...

If you hired Phil to handle your training and diet then I wouldn't ask these questions on the open forum. Phil is more than capable of fixing any problem you have. Trying to mix diet and training tips from different sources will just throw you off your path even more. IMHO.
 
Just because you added 40lbs to your bench press that does not mean you acquired the muscle mass to consistently do that weight.. You need to grow into that weight.. That means consistently eating enough protein and doing 245 lbs week after week after week.. I understand your natural now.. But your telling us your back to 205 lbs for 8 reps? I would think you kept some strength because you put on some muscle and can now do around 225 lbs for at least 8 reps...

Being on a cycle isn't about uping your bench its about creating more muscle. What you bench and what you REP are two different things.

I started out repping 205x8, now it's 245x8... and that's where I plateaued. I was using it as an example, because all my other lifts have plateaued in the same way.
 
To all the posters that think I should just be talking to phil about these things, I did. I sent him this message yesterday, and we talked about some things. I'm just being thorough. You have to appreciate that I'm not only meticulous about these things, but I like talking to experienced bbers about it on here, too. But the above posters do have a point... maybe the real direction I need will only get confused if I go to people other than phil for advice. I'm new enough in this game to realize that, too. Thanks for the input so far

So you're basically trying to do the things you succeed in doing by doing steroids, yet now want to succeed without the steroids too. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Do not let people fool you with their claims of greatness when 'off'. If it worked like that there wouldnt be any steroid usage to begin with.

You can try switching exercises, rotating carbs, touching your nose with your tongue............IT AINT HAPPENING.
