Looks to be a pretty bad storm coming fellas, if you are in these areas I suggest you start stocking up on shit...and I'm talking about milk, bread, tp etc

I work for the local power company here in central Illinois, My bosses are rounding up crews too head that way here shortly. Sorry I can't make it out my East Coast brothers on this trip, too many pans in the fire here. I did make it out for Hurricane Floyd in 99.

I'm sure my daughter will be busy for the fire department

Do you have anything to base this off other than a gut feeling?

IMO they aren't making a big enough deal about it. Its a huge storm that will impact the whole east coast and eventually may evolve into a full blown noreaster. Don't buy eggs and milk..unless you have a generator you should be buying gas, water, flashlights and batteries.

I just don't think this storm is all the media is making of it, that is all.

I never said I wasn't going to be prepared tho But I'll stay away from buying milk

But the media blows things up far beyond what they should be for the "shock factor." Take it FWIW....

I hope the newscasters are wrong. They are saying it is stronger than Irene was last year and the possible "Perfect Storm" conditions could make it worse when it reaches the northeast. The flooding last year stopped a couple blocks from where I am.
