Thank you, sir! I tore the bicep tendon near its radial tuberosity insertion, hitting the heavy bag. It detached and retracted several centimeters. It was surgically repaired 10 days after injury.

I was training lower 5 days later. The brace is off today and we've just started loading the bicep directly in PT, 5 weeks post-surgery. Another month and the bone sutures should be completely healed. Then slowly continue to increase load tolerance until full strength restoration.

Unfortunately, I'll miss Nationals but I'm tentatively planning on competing this year still when healed.

Inspirational story man, sorry that your suffered that injury, but incredible display of mental fortitude. Best to you in your full recovery. If you don't mind me asking, did the injury occur during training, or something else in life?
