Novolin R Active Life?

Looked all over for some more in depth info on this and can't find any reputable info besides FDA info for sub q and IV.

Im wanting to get the shortest active life possible with R which will probably be an IM injection pre workout into the muscle group to be worked. What would the realistic active life be here? Most forums say that IM is 4.5hr active but haven't seen any real data to back this up.

Also read some FDA info that said IV slin was active for around 4 hours which seems WAY too long. Ive used slin IV a few times and felt like it was out in about 30min but damn did it hit hard.

This chart has always made sense to me, based on the half life set by the manufacturer and evidence of diabetic and non diabetic users. I know I have roughly 3.5 hours to get 2 big meals in post injection of the R.

I've been a type 1 diabetic for 50+ years.

Novolog is out of your system faster than any other slin.
~ 3 hours.

NEVER IV any slin. Waaaaaaay too risky.

IM is best.
But it makes no difference where you dose it

That graph is showing sub q release time though, not IM. And 3.5 hours is roughly just the peak, not the active life

3 hours half life for Novolin-R. Some claim it to be 2.5 but this is the only slin I've ever ran and I almost always peak 3 hours exactly after subq inject. I've felt active life around 6 hours. Plus or minus some for the individual.
