I recently competed in possibly my last show this past weekend.
I was in the best shape ever in all my competitive years and it won me the overall bodybuilding trophy

You looked great brother great job. Why do you want to retire when you're still improving?

Competing wise it just doesnt give back what it used to. Like I had to prove it to the world I could do it.
Now I dont really care. I know I can do it.

SO as bodybuilder most of us are all or nothing type of mentalities.
My approach to this prrp was more moderation in all things
Only so much cardio
Only so much depleting
Only so much training
Not trying to bury myself under fatigue
 
What diet/drug/cardio techniques did you employ to achieve this ‘best ever’ look?

Looking great btw
Diet:
High protein/Mod Carb/Low fat (near the end carbs got pretty low with 300g carb refeeds)

Drugs stayed the same the last 8 weeks:
Sus 1000mg
Mast 800mg
Anavar 150mg
Proviron 150mg
HGH 5iu
t4 100-150mcg
Clen 40-160mcg

Cardio:
Incline treadmill walking 20-30mins everyday
Outside walking 30-45mins everyday

NO stepmill
NO HIIT
NO tren
NO T3

Why so much t4? I heard that high of a dose without t3 can cause severe depression?

I’ve never used it before myself..

I don’t like t3 either and never want to use it again

I originally was on the boards in the 90s under the same handle but lost my password somehow

There is JR Nationals next weekend but there is no pro card for BB and to do classic physique I would need to get down to 189lbs based on my height

I'm about to turn 43 in July. I weighed 217lbs onstage and was 235ish in the offseason

My wife who does training was basically my brain the last 4 weeks and told me what to do lol
Shes done 4 preps with me so she knows me and my body well
I also have a friend who coached Charles Dixon who helped me as well

I am blessed to have a very knowledgeable circle around me

T3 made me feel much worse than t4 or clen

I was able to maintain almost all of my strength throughout my prep which is rare for me
My pressing was the only thing that took a hit the last two weeks
But my training was very low volume 1-2 sets per exercise

But what does t4 accomplish in a precontest context?

Sounds like you have a solid wife in your corner. I know I couldn’t do this without mine.

Why not do Masters Nationals the third week in July? I think you would have a good shot there and that gives you 6 weeks to dial in a bit more.

You’ve come this far and look this good. It’s worth consideration. 😎

I totally get it man. I do the same thing after every show I compete in. I ask myself “why in the hell did I do this”.

Then somehow find myself back in the gym thinking about what’s next once I sleep it off. 😂

Enjoy the win. You’ve got a physique very few will ever achieve. That’s worth it all right there alone.

Great look man. Sounds like you fully accepting that you’re done on the stage so I commend u. I woullld sneak into a national level show if I were u, just to say u did it.

But if you’re done you’re done. What’s the goal now? Downsize? Live the same life except as a non competitor?

I did Team Universe in 2022 and was combined with the SHW class and was handed my ass back to me
So ive been there done that.lol

Goal now is just chill
Get bloodwork healthy
Enjoy training again
NOt have everything be focused on the gym or next show
More balance
