Hey whats up guys? To make a long story short, I use to know a lot about nutrition, but with all the info on diets and nutrition, my mind is a wreck and I cant seem to get back on track. I know what the macros are, I know what a deficit is, or eating at maintenance, all of that, but Im unsure of how to put together a good, solid bodybuilding nutrition plan that is both effective, AND sustainable.
Here is what has been happening......I have bipolar disorder first and foremost. I no longer take meds because I feel it is just a trap, or a bandaid if you will, but, Back in 2011, I gave up on life, lifting and nutrition, and went form 180lbs at 12% bodyfat, to 267lbs. then one day in february of 2014 I woke up, and looked in the mirrior and said enough is enough, started dieting and working out and got down to a solid 223lbs by June of 2014. now, 2 1/2 years later, after crazy yo yo dieting, Im now at 245lbs, solid, but fat at the same time. Im very active, practice martial arts 4 days a week for about 4 total hours and lifting and other forms of cardio 4 days per week.
Honestly, I have no idea where to start calorie wise. I know Ive been over complicating things for a very long time, but it seems I have information overload.
What do I do guys, how do I get back on track, what type of macros should I start with? Flexible dieting doesnt seem to work with me. Im from the old school where we use to eat the same things day in and day out, whether cutting or bulking?
anybody have any sound advice for me?
