NYPD NY Corrections Department steroid testing?

Hi, I am currently on the waiting lists and actually pretty close to being called for NYPD, NY Corrections Department and Suffolk County Corrections department. I remember hearing in the news a couple years back that NYPD implemented steroid testing going into the academy after a few cops got nabbed with gear. I also recall reading the NY corrections department was considering following suit. I was just curious if any members know what the deal is with either city organization, or if they are familiar with Suffolk county's policies. Thanks in advance bros.

i know for a fact that nypd does random testing on officers which includes testing for steroids...they say it is completely random however im pretty sure if they suspect something your name will pop up u know what i mean? as for the other departments i dont know their policies.

Back in 86, I worked out with an police officer who loved d-bols and test, *LOL*. He was quiet the character. We became friends and workout pards. Anyway, he supplied half the gym, *LOL*. Poor guy bit the dust in a shoot out at one of our local banks, they did name a couple of roads after him. I miss that ole boy, still do!. He was golden! Rip ole buddy!

I was kind of hoping that maybe someone might know exactly what drugs were tested for, and some ideas on how to beat the test. Ive been off the gear for about three months now but was taking a decent amount of test and tren

I'm POSITIVE there are ways to beat tests (or at least certain tests), but I don't know them. I've never used gear myself (yet), but many, many, many of the guys I train with (I'm not a bodybuilder, am an MMA fighter) have somehow managed to beat tests while using. Don't know enough to comment, could've just been HGH or something, but I doubt it since a lot of these guys don't exactly have a big bank account.

Yea, I know that there are ways to beat tests, I was hoping maybe someone on the board has had experience or knowledge of exactly what drugs were screened for and an idea on the best, simplest ways to beat the test. I mean I dont think I have the balls or desire to pre mix urine and use a whizzinator...but I have done the old goldenseal vinegar trick to beat marijuana. Has anyone tried any of the steroid cleanse systems that are for sale?

Even if they test for roids that is the least of your worries. You do realize you have to take a polygraph right??? They WILL ask a lot of questions about prior drug use. Here where I live any admitted use in the past 5 years is an automatic disqualifier. Oh and they also test a strand of your hair. So basically start looking for a different line of work unless you somehow get lucky.

they test for other drugs, not aas as far as i know. i have 6 bros that are cops, 4 of them are "the guys" that you go to in the gym, and they're all on. been with the force for many years.

Hair sample, I have a handful of friends on FDNY, NYPD, and Corrections and none ever mentioned hair samples, just urine. I'm really just looking for a knowledgeable bro who has experience beating a steroid test for urine.

did you do an internet search..there prob some info out there on nypd testing policies...also, on the internet everytime a lie detector comes up everyone thinks it is so easy to beat!! they are not.

O.k. I am not on NYPD but lets just say its top 5 overall in size in the U.S. as far as the patrol division/corrections division. I was never tested for roids only the major drugs such as meth, coc, pot, etc....It is very expensive to steroid test new hires and then just imagine with all the budget issues state/local govt is having.

As far as poly those are the biggest joke....was I nervous, hell yes but overall it was nothing now that I look back. My best advice first find out if there is a hiring freeze and then ask how long the list your name is on is good for. Most test is out of your system in what 4-6 weeks, then just look at the rest of the stuff you take or want to take. Also dont use while you are in the academy atleast wait until you have been on for 6 months.

No kidding brother!! I'm certainly not going pro anytime soon. I have already been off the sauce for about three months, but when I read shit on the internet that deca and other nandralone derivatives are in you're system for up to 18 months I get nervous. I was on and off tren for about 8 months, it is a good quality job, and I just want to ensure myself. As far as everyone with the poly...sheesh..like I said I have a handful of friends on NYPD and Corrections...no one ever mentioned a poly. Also, a few years ago I got turned down for FDNY, got over 100 percent with the city residency on the written and obviously got a perfect score on the physical portion. I got 1 in 3rd for that job meaning I was turned down with no reason given... 1 in 3 can be turned down for the job for any reason, please spare me any comments it's a legit thing. I contacted lawyers, fraternal organizations inside FDNY the whole nine yards, there was no recourse. I was literally at the point where I was just waiting for my letter for acceptance into the academy. My point being is that I was 99 percent done with that hiring process and no poly was ever given. If I'm dumb enough to get nailed by a poly then so be it. I feel like all this shit is an invasion of privacy anyway, but a necessary evil for the job. Trust my I have done 100 times more reading on the internet regarding this subject then posting, but have actually come up with suprisingly little valuable information. I was hoping I may come acrose someone here with some experience with A) cleaning up a potentially positive urine sample and B) maybe a little inside info on exactly what those wonderful boys and girls in blue that I so want to be a part of are testing for. hey thanks scrapper...yea I know that, and knowing my thick headedness If I get on the job I'll probably be back on gear after the academy. Also I'll most likely be called for corrections first who are always hiring due to the high turnover. Point being is that if I'm already on the job, I could do a substitution. But for that hiring medical exam, I'd like the confidence of strutting in there with my own clean pee.

Hey Bro's as far as testing goes....I know that it is all depending on the department and their policies...as it varies between military service branches. The Air Forces test when ever they want but the Army will only test on a Commanders request.
