thanks all. Double mastectomy and reconstruction completed on tuesday (she had implants put in so no second surgery needed). All went well. Right now I'm just playing nurse.
Truly, thank you for all the notes, thoughts, and prayers. Pretty wild that that kind of a surgery is an outpatient procedure now!
Hoping for a rapid recovery. Take care of her mate!thanks all. Double mastectomy and reconstruction completed on tuesday (she had implants put in so no second surgery needed). All went well. Right now I'm just playing nurse.

thank you so much! Yeah covid really changed it all. I work in orthopedics and damn near everything possible is outpatient. Your chance of infection is much, much smaller if they can get you home you are dead on right. I knew nothing about this world of breast surgery though.Wow, double mastectomy AND reconstruction all at the same time. I didn't know they were doing that. Be a good nurse/husband!
A lot of surgeries are outpatient if the main factor afterward is pain management. Obviously they give you examples of things to look out for like signs of infection, where you would need to get her to the hospital ASAP. I hope she is through the worst and you guys go on to live long and happy lives!!
thank you brother!Hoping for a rapid recovery. Take care of her mate!
